Description

Since its early-'50s introduction, the Fender Precision Bass guitar has remained the world standard for thick tone and smooth playability. The Standard Precision Bass combines the best of old and new, with a modern single-coil pickup, shielded body cavity, medium jumbo frets, vintage-style bridge, tinted neck with pau ferro fretboard, three-ply parchment pickguard and '70s-style headstock logo.

I got this to play with my church. I like the low thump. The P bass has more of a RnB sound, so if you like a more funk oriented bass, choose this one.

Solid construction and it's well balanced. I had to set intonation, adjust the truss rod, and adjust pickup height. But that doesn't bother me. It's a good bass for the road and with some upgrades it could be a good studio instrument.

This bass is used by professionals all the time for a reason. I tried 10 different guitars when deciding what to buy and none of them felt as comfortable as the P Bass. The tone is great and set up is perfect out of the box.
