collapse expand iconDescription

Many of Fenders Pure Vintage hardware and bridges are crafted where possible on the same tooling and machinery as our original-era Fender parts. Some of this original tooling has been diligently rebuilt to achieve the crisp clean construction of original vintage Fender products, though many Pure Vintage parts still retrofit several of our modern instruments and amplifiers. Whether you are personalizing, modifying or restoring, there is no better way to maintain the proud heritage and period-correct accuracy of your classic Fender instrument or amp.

This product was an excellent replacement for my Squier's rusty tremolo claw and springs. It was not at all difficult to install. Of course, this product was not specifically made for an Indonesian Stratocaster, it was made for a real, Fender USA Stratocaster, so some light modifying was necessary to get it installed properly. The new screws have a larger diameter than the previous screws I had, and are also longer, so I had to drill the holes just slightly wider and deeper, being careful not to drill all the way up into the pickup cavities. After that the rest was normal procedure: screw in, solder the wire to the claw, and attach the springs. It looks great, and feels much more robust than the original. A striking cosmetic improvement, not that anyone notices when the cover is always on!
