Melanie Faye Demos The Player Series Stratocaster® | Fender

Description
Over the decades, players have been continually inspired by the sound of a Strat. From the clarity of the high end, through the gut punch of the mids and the solid lows, it's a sound that's helped define what an electric guitar should be—versatile enough for any style and broad enough for any player to find an individual voice. This Player Series Stratocaster puts all of the classic features of the Strat at your fingertips while adding a modern edge. With a beautifully flamed maple top over a solid alder body, a 22-fret pau ferro fingerboard with a contemporary 9.5" radius for easy bending and an updated 2-point fulcrum tremolo bridge, the Player Series Stratocaster Plus Top is primed and ready to carry you along your musical voyage.

I'm a beginner, but I didn't want to start off with a bottom basement quality guitar. The strat will be perfect for multiple genres of music, however I'm mostly into blues. The build quality is excellent, the weight is pretty light compared to my bass. The tone has been exceptional, after I have played for a year or so I'm going to replace the pups with Texas blues. I really like the fact that the pups are passive, my bass has active pups and I'm not a fan of those.

very good guitar plays well, didn't like the white hardware so I swapped them for cream colored and it makes a world's difference visually. the player pickups are hot yet nasally and muddy so I. swapped them for the 57/62 and its a pretty big change worth it 100%. it wouldn't bend on one string at the 18th fret but a small 8th turn to the action fixed it. great feel to the electronics, great tuners, neck, bridge, and electronics besides the pickups. the bridge tone control schematic makes the bridge usable. I also prefer this neck to the player plus and preferred these coils to the noiseless even though I replaced them. the noiseless pickups are garbage.

I wasn't looking to buy this strat and was actually trying out the Fender TM Twin Reverb amp at my local GC, trying different guitars to hear the amp. With the maple top, it's not the lightest strat I've played but I'm convinced the maple top gives it more sustain and a bigger sound. I spent a good 90 minutes just trying different guitars through the amp, but I kept coming back to this particular strat because of how it felt, the response and playability. I would match this up against any Silver Sky or American made strat. I've leaned more towards teles over strats because I've not had much success in getting strats to sound big and full, but with a good amp and the right settings, this strat can growl like a tele, then when you lighten your attack, the complexity of sounds are like nothing else - iconic strat.

It plays as well my American Strat. The sound is close to my American Strat but at significant less cost. It's a great axe for the money.

Do your guitars go thru a 55 point inspection before shipping or something similar to Sweetwaters?

Our guitars are shipped sealed in the manufacturer's box, so your hands are the first to touch it since leaving the factory.
