Melanie Faye Demos The Player Series Stratocaster® | Fender
The Fender Player Series Stratocaster is a modern take on an iconic electric guitar known for its bell-like highs, punchy mids and robust low end. This model delivers classic Strat sound with a forward-thinking spirit.

Player Series Pickups Provide Crisp, Articulate Tone
The trio of Player Series single-coil pickups are designed to produce the authentic tone you expect from a Stratocaster—with an up-to-date edge. They offer a crisp, articulate sound across the tonal spectrum that handles any musical style with ease.

Comfortable Modern C Maple Neck
The fast-playing Modern C-shaped maple neck has contours that feel natural in your hands. Its smooth finish allows for fluid movement up and down the 22 medium-jumbo frets. The 9.5" radius fingerboard provides an ideal playing surface for chords and solos alike.

Enhanced Tremolo Design
The updated 2-point tremolo bridge has a smoother, more responsive feel compared to previous designs. Its reduced friction against the posts also provides rock-solid tuning stability, so you can perform extreme pitch bends without going out of tune.

Versatile Tonal Control and Reliable Hardware
Master volume and tone controls, along with a 5-way pickup switch, give you a range of single-coil tones at your fingertips. High-quality CTS potentiometers and an Orange Drop capacitor help transmit the pickups' signal with clarity. A synthetic bone nut, dual-wing string tree and sealed tuning machines provide tuning accuracy and reliability.
Whether you want to recreate classic rock tones or forge a bold new sound, this Stratocaster gives you authentic Fender feel and style with modern playability. Serious musicians looking for a versatile, great-sounding electric guitar will appreciate all this model has to offer.

Great guitar , neck is smooth and comfortable. Playing it through a Fender GTX amp. One extra fret is nice. Pau ferro fret boards sounds fantastic.

Purchased this player series strat after using my players series J Bass for about a year. Really well made, reliable instrument. Stable in temp swings as I play both indoors and out. Would get another.
Buying a Strat over the web during lockdown

I'm not going to review the Fender Stratocaster but rather the experience of buying it over the web. I never expected to but then the lockdown happened and my old guitar gave out... The Strat shipped out pretty fast and came well packaged: the guitar is wrapped in thick kind of plastic which is then put in a (Fender) cardboard box with extra cardboard inside to hold the headstock, which was then placed in another (GC) cardboard box with some paper in between. I can't say the inner box was thoroughly wrapped in paper but still good enough. It was even in tune to some extent. Sadly however, despite the promise of 'factory setup' it's not really playable. The action is perfect but the frets do stick out over the side of the neck and my left hand is now sore. I am not suggesting a new guitar shouldn't require setup but just don't expect a miracle. The lowest string is really boomy, I have to turn the bass EQ all the way down. I'm hoping to address it during setup as well. I hope this is useful.
A quality instrument...

I once owned a custom shop 69' reissued Strat and absolutely loved it. I parted ways because it was too much guitar for me. This MIM Strat I just recently acquired plays and feels , in my opinion, as good as the custom job.

This is a "blemished" Stratocaster. Can you provide particular details for the "blemish"? What are the imperfections on this guitar? Does it still come with 45 day money back guarantee?
Unfortunately additional pictures are unavailable. Blemishes are slight and do not affect the tone or play ability of the instrument.submitted6 years ago
