Description
The Fender Player Stratocaster HSS puts a legendary design with modern player-centric features in your hands. With a unique pickup configuration and synchronized tremolo bridge, this guitar provides a versatile tone that works perfectly for any style of music.

Sleek and Ergonomic Alder Body With Gloss Polyester Finish
This Strat’s contoured alder body is lightweight yet resonant, providing a bold and balanced tone. Its gloss polyester finish gives an elegant sheen while protecting the wood. Plus, with its belly cut and arm contour, this Strat feels natural, comfortable and familiar.

Smooth Maple Neck and 22-Fret Fingerboard
The maple neck offers a smooth playing surface, while the 9.5" radius maple fingerboard provides a comfortable profile for chords and solos alike. Its 22 jumbo frets give you room to roam wherever your creativity takes you.

Powerful Seymour Duncan Pickups
The single-coil Strat pickups in the neck and middle positions provide the crisp, chiming tones that made the Strat famous. The Seymour Duncan bridge humbucker packs extra punch, giving you everything from glassy cleans to roaring leads. And, with a 5-way selector switch, you can access a world of tones at the flick of a switch.

Vintage-Style Tremolo Bridge

Pickups are amazing, humbucker bridge pickups give it a strong rock sound while the single coils still give it an amazing, classic Stratocaster sound. Love jamming out to Hendrix & SRV with the neck pickups, and switching over to the bridge when playing Nirvana or Metallica. Incredible work of art with hardly any flaws at all, and for a very respectable price.
Polar White HSS

I chose this guitar (Polar White) because it was the most...decorated Strat that came with a gloss/lacquered neck, which doesn't seem readily available on more expensive strats. I was surprised to see that the fingerboard is gloss but the back of the neck is satin. Not what I expected, but still feels great. HSS FTW. Shipped to home, and setup was decent but needed slight intonation adjustments. Overall, I'm very happy with it

I've had one for about 3 years now, and I can't be happier. I've played my first few gigs with it, I've brought it to -5°F temps up in northern Vermont, I've played it in 85°F heat, and it is still kicking. Don't be worried about tone with this thing, either. It can do everything from funk to blues to hard rock to nu metal. Tuning stability is fantastic with this thing as well. Like every other Strat, you just need to get this set up every now again and it can last you decades. If you're looking for something that can do everything under the sun without daily maintenance and won't break the bank, this is the guitar.
Player Series For The Win!

I bought a used MIM Strat a few years back that has been my workhorse for a long time now. Solid guitar but it wasn't in the greatest condition and I've always wanted to "upgrade". A friend wanted to buy that guitar so I started looking. I initially purchased a Strat Professional 2 SSS but the color I wanted was backordered. After a month of waiting, and a little bit of buyers remorse, I cancelled to see what was readily available. This Player Series Strat in Silver is a great guitar. For about half the cost, I was able to get similar tones and feel of the Pro 2 Series. Once I brought this guitar home, I let it rest for a few hours. I tuned it and started jamming with my EVH 5150 pedal and didn't put it down for 3 hours! The humbucker on this thing has a nice, high output for those chunkier riffs. Not to mention the single coils sound beautiful with the clean Fender tones. It feels like the newer Mexico Strats are better in quality. Would definitely recommend to a beginner/intermediate player.

What strings currently come standard? I just got mine last night and I like the ones one then. This guitar must have not been on the floor for too long before I came in because it didn't seem like it had ever been played or set up in the slightest. I fixed all that but I want to be able to replace the strings and go up a gauge but wanted to keep the same kind.

What's the weight of this silver version player stratocaster by fender?
All guitars vary depending on the density of the wood. Manufacturers usually only spec size and type of wood. Guitars are generally between 6 and 12 lbs. They can be more. The only way to know the weight of an individual instrument is to weigh it. This will be approximately 7.5 lbssubmitted4 years ago

I noticed that the description shows a gloss neck. The Player Tele's got the new Satin finish. I recently bought the American Ultra Tele and it has the smooth, fast satin neck finish. Is this Gloss neck a mistake? Does it have the Satin finish as the Player Tele describes?

what is the difference between the Maple fingerboard and the Pau Ferro?
There's slight tonal differences with the maple being a bit brighter sounding. But the main difference is the overall feel of it.
