A great guitar to mod and play. The orginal contour body fits well when playing with or without a strap. Very little set up required, tune and play.

I do a lot of research before I purchase gear. I watched and read reviews across YouTube and multiple best-in-class retail sites before I made the decision to buy this guitar--in the tide pool color. Net net, I love it. The Fender Player delivers excellent sound and a range of tones, and the double-locking tremolo adds more versatility than the traditional strat tremolo. Plus, you can't beat the price. I was skeptical when I read that it is manufactured outside the U.S. but this guitar came well packaged and in the condition you would expect from any new product. I immediately put on new strings and, after they had a day to stretch, I was blown away by the sound and pleased with the function of the Floyd Rose Special Tremolo. If you want that Fender sound, the added edge of the humbucker, and bonus double-locking tremolo, I recommend the Fender Player HSS Floyd Rose. Rock on!

I saw this guitar on GC.com last summer and I thought that it looked amazing! I love the polar white with the black pickguard which kind of reminds me of the White Frankenstrat that is on the cover of the first Van Halen album. When it was finally available almost 2 weeks ago, I ordered it right away and I have no regrets. The guitar was practically in tune when I took it out of the box and like any new guitar with a Floyd Rose, it will take about a half hour to fine tune everything and when I got it the way I wanted, there was no looking back! It sounds amazing with my Marshall DSL40 and my EVH chorus pedal and MXR flanger. The Floyd Rose stays perfectly in tune and I can easily adjust tuning from standard to E-flat with no problems! The setup is nice and low and smooth! The humbucker is a little bright but easily adjusted with some tone adjustment. Overall, I got a great guitar thanks to good Fender quality control! I highly recommend it and if you buy it, you won't be disappointed.

I am a Machinist, an amateur radio operator and have been playing for many years. I love almost everything about this guitar if only it were tunable. It does not tune the same at the twelfth fret as it does in open position. Normally this is a matter of adjustment, however the threads on the FR are sub par and not easily adjusted. Once you lock the nut you almost need a pliers ( not recommended) to fine tune it at the bridge. then it don't hold. I have owned much cheaper guitars with Floyd Rose's in much better condition. Threads were better Mounting was secure. Not on this particular guitar.
