Fabulous neck, worth twice the price

I've played on dozens upon dozens of Strat necks, and this is just about the best. There isn't a blemish on it. The frets are perfect, no sprouts, no high or low spots. The truss rod is perfect. I always replace the plastic nut with a Tusq nut, and it was easy to do. The Pearloid blocks are colorful with fabulous patterns. What I like best is the pau ferro wood. The density and grain structure is roughly halfway between rosewood and ebony, I used fingerboard oil on it (best to apply it heavily and leave it for several hours) and it darkened and emphasized the colors. It is slightly mellower than the maple fingerboard it replaced. It feels great under the fingers, and the medium-jumbo frets are lightning fast. I give this upgrade neck my highest recommendation. A quick tip. When installing the neck make sure you put a lot of pressure at the heel or you will wind up with a gap between the neck and body.
