Player Series Precision Bass | Player Series | Fender

Description
There's nothing more classic than a Fender electric bass, and this limited-edition Player Precision Bass is as authentic as it gets. With its smooth-playing feel and spotlight-ready style, this thunderous bass is ready to enter the studio or prowl the stage and help show the world your creative vision. The fat, punchy Seymour Duncan Quarter Pound P Bass split-coil pickup is packed with legendary Fender bass tone cranked up for modern ears. Master volume and tone controls allow further shaping of the pickup’s powerful voice so you can easily craft your sound.

The "Modern C"-shaped maple neck hosts a 9.5"-radius fingerboard with 20 medium-jumbo frets that are ideal for almost any playing style, while the 4-saddle bridge is engineered for accurate intonation and easy action adjustment so you can personalize the feel to your playing style and taste. Other features include a 3-ply pickguard, synthetic bone nut, vintage-style disc string trees, open-gear tuning machines and a four-bolt "F"-stamped neck plate that marks this instrument as the real deal.

Fender named the finish British Racing Green after visually comparing it to Triumph motorcycles, Mini Coopers and vintage Aston Martin models in the same color and feel they achieved a good match for this special guitar.

  • It's a P bass. Beautiful, but poorly intonated from factory

It's a p bass. It sounds like a pbass. I almost didnt get this one because of the SD pickups but then i thiught about it and lracticslly everyone switches the out anyways. The color is what sold me, I've been waiting for a p bass a long time im glad they finally came out with this. The finish is beautiful, came in looking flawless in that aspect. Points taken off because of its poor intonation from the factory. The a and d string are about 20 cents sharp, and the neck, while smooth and comfortable, is going to need a truss rod adjustment. The action is pretty high for my taste. It did not come with a Gig Bag.

  • Darn Good Bass

Looking to add a PBass for home, so I headed to the local GC. Played several from Squire to AP2. The combo of tone (of the quarter pounder), color and price made it an easy choice. Spent some extra $ and got it set up properly with flat wounds. Couldn't be happier with this bass!

  • Good sound, needs set up

Neck finish is amazing, very comfortable, sounds great with the quarter pounders but…. Fenders quality has gone down hill, I went to 3 different cities to find one with a straight neck, action was high on all of them, some really shouldn't be on the wall and sent back to fender. I finally found a decent one, plays great after a set up. The price was a bit ridiculous, but it's an iconic sound that you just can't beat. About 75% of these have a neck like a banana,

First, this is an absolutely beautiful bass and the finish is flawless. I've picked up some player basses and some have very rough / poor fret work, this one, very well dressed frets. All components work as expected and the string height is good and low like I like it. Lovely pbass tone and very responsive to the tone control. Great bass, glad it's in my arsenal.

  • Great bass. Sounds as good as it looks

Is this a brand new product? Or is it a product that is displayed in stores and tested on people? Let me know the answer and is there a gap between the neck and body connection?

Brand new. I don't understand your question about a 'gap'.
