The Player Series Stratocaster | Player Series | Fender
The Fender Player Jazzmaster is a modern take on the iconic offset guitar. With upgraded pickups and electronics, as well as an ergonomic neck profile and fretboard, this Jazzmaster is primed to inspire a new generation of musical rebels and visionaries. The alder body and gloss finish provide a stylish yet resonant platform for the redesigned Player Series Alnico V humbucking pickups. With a push/pull coil-splitting pot for the bridge pickup, you have access to beefy humbucker tones as well as chime-like single-coil sounds at the flip of a switch.
Player Series Pickups Unlock Authentic Tone
Respecting Fender's legacy while embracing an innovative spirit, the Player Series pickups provide warm, articulate humbucker tone with a touch of edge. Activate the coil-split to tap into jangly single-coil tones reminiscent of a Stratocaster. This pickup configuration, combined with a five-way selector switch, gives you a myriad of tonal options to craft your signature sound.
Modern C-Shaped Neck Profile
The maple neck has a comfortable, modern C profile—an ergonomic shape suitable for almost any playing style. A smooth, satin urethane finish allows your hand to glide up and down the fretboard with ease. The 9.5" radius and 22 medium-jumbo frets further enhance playability, making complex chords and soloing a breeze.
Floating Vibrato Tailpiece Adds Expression
The six-saddle bridge hosts a vintage-style floating vibrato tailpiece to add nuanced pitch effects and warble. Use the included arm to bend notes and chords for a dreamy, modulated tone. The adjustable bridge saddles allow you to perfectly intonate your Jazzmaster for optimal tuning and tone across the fretboard.
Additional Highlights
Chrome hardware, a three-ply pickguard and Fender-stamped neck plate complete the iconic Jazzmaster esthetic. Synthetic bone nut, dual-wing string tree, and sealed tuning machines provide tuning stability and longevity. At 25.5" scale, this guitar has a familiar feel for players accustomed to a Fender electric.

Great guitar
I use this jazzy in my band and love it. Not a "true" jazzmaster (depending on your definition and if your an offset snob) because of the humbuckers but there is a coil split function on the tone knob that will give you a pretty similar tone to the classic players that are $200 higher price point than these. The necks on these are way better than the classic players in my opinion and there's no rhythm circuit which I absolutely love actually and the 3 way switch is at the bottom of the body instead of the top like the American Professional series, which again I think is better. The pickups are Alnico 2 magnets which don't give it that high output sound like you would imagine from humbuckers but I don't get any humming. Only cons are fret buzz out of the box. Get on YouTube. Set it up yourself. Learn your jazzmaster. This is a great guitar that doesn't require any mods but fun to mess around with and get it to your liking.

Was so excited but after not even a year, very disappointed
I love Jazzmasters! I was so excited to get this guitar. It sounds so big warm and beautiful. Unfortunately, not long after I had it, it kept going out of tune because the saddles vibrate loose with not much play time. Also, the neck pickup constantly vibrates loose and I have to take the strings and the pickup off to fix it. A month after having the pickup switch began having a short in it making it unreliable. I'm so disappointed because this was going to be my main guitar that I gig and record with. I actually got a Sterling MusicMan Albert Lee to be a backup but it has become my primary guitar because it's really a much better quality guitar and they are supposedly not even on par with each other. I wish that either Guitar Center or Fender would do something about it. But I've had it for a year and I feel stuck with a lemon and I never want to buy a Fender again. At least not one made recently. I've heard people say Fender's quality has been slipping and it turns out to be true for me.

Started playing a year and half ago so I don't want to give the impression of someone who knows guitars. That said, however, I've learned how to do a few tweaks and adjustments. Some reviews have mentioned a buzz. I heard it almost immediately after tuning the strings. It's not fret buzz - it's when a saddle screw comes loose on the bridge. Just take close look and you can tell if any the screws are protruding out. There's a small allen wrench that came in bag along tremelo bar that is exactly for adjusting these screws. It's not a big deal. This is a well made guitar and like most any guitar, it will benefit you to learn basic maintenance so you don't write cringy reviews complaining that the guitar isn't perfect. Such a good design with a modern set-up (HH) which really has its own unique sound apart from a Strat or Tele.
An inspiring guitar

My wife surprised me with this for my birthday and I couldn't believe it then and I still can't believe it now! One thing a guitar should do is inspire the player to create music. I can say that this guitar does exactly that. I've never been one who wants to learn popular songs to play or be in a cover band so a guitar, for me, should be something inspiring, with songs in it. I love this thing. No it's not a boutique guitar, but it's a great tool for creativity and is definitely worth the price. I'm new to humbuckers but these are rad! They are not super high output but they sound awesome. I was genuinely surprised how bright and twangy the single coil setting is, which makes for a very versatile guitar. Has that Jazzmaster jangle too so it's not going be good at EVERYTHING, but it can handle most of what I throw at it. I love my Jazzmaster. No it's not a "classic" one with the rhythm circuit but I don't care because it's got so much character. Good job, Fender.

I got this for a dynamite price listed as "open box, "blemished", but I can see no dings or flaws whatsoever. Brand new, too--what a steal, at about 40 % off, very nearly. Keep your eyes open as these occasionally pop up (under the radar) I'm laughing all the way to the bank, har har har, hee hee Five stars * * * * *

In the "Features" section you list the scale length as 25.5", but under "Specifications" you list it as 23.5". I believe Jazzmasters tend to use the Fender standard 25.5" scale length but would like clarification just in case.
