It's unopened, in a stapled box from the factory!

I received this bass brand-new in an unopened box inside a shipping box. It is unreal. The bass looks beautiful. The neck is smooth like butter. No micro scratch or anything. The action is a bit high for my taste but few turns at the bridge and she's very pleasing to play. No hum, no noise. I'm surprised. Beautiful sound, warm or bright thanks to the functional tone and pickup knobs. I am a P bass fan, got this one to get to know one, but I found I am happy with either one. I am talking about the P bass Turquoise Limited Edition I also got from Guitar Center. Also an excellent, pristine P bass from Mexico. I ordered the Aerodyne five times, none is acceptable. This one is a compensation for all the pain. Absolutely a wonderful instrument. From Mexico. I rarely rate anything 5/5. This one deserves the top rating. Very happy.

Guitar Center and this bass are both an absolute joke

I bought this bass (limited edition... brand new...) and I received what is clearly a floor model. It was sloppily wrapped in a single piece of bubble wrap and stuffed in a box. The bass has numerous scratches and is very greasy and unpolished. Tons of pick scratches on the pickguard shows this has been played extensively. The fret work on the bass is horrible. The frets are protruding out and sharp enough to almost cut your finger. I didn't order a brand new, limited edition bass for almost $800, to get this piece of junk. Guitar Center's customer service has been extremely difficult to deal with over the past week. Going to go personally return this to the nearest Guitar Center store location and get on with my life. WHAT A JOKE!

I'm a new bass player. I have a Squier P bass, but really wanted a Fender Jazz Bass. This was on sale AND I got an additioinal discount because it was a demo model with a small (almost unnoticeable) ding on the back of the headstock. To be honest, I never would have noticed if the GC manager hadn't told me specifically about it before they shipped it to me. I love the color and feel of this instrument. I really couldn't be happier.

Got this bass for Christmas and I gotta say, I'm beyond happy with it. The color shown in the description above doesn't quite match what it looks like, but personally, I think mine looks way better. Very pleased with it.

  • Flexible, accurate, good-looking Jazz Bass.

I played a dozen instruments of different brands in the store before choosing this edition of a Fender classic. The fretboard has a good feel, it tunes well and stays tuned. Frets are accurately placed for good intonation. One knob controls the volume from each of the two pickups and the third adjusts the tone. This gives flexibility for different situations - for example with the bridge pickup and high tone you can get a more harmonic-rich jazzy sound, or with the neck pickup and less tone you get a more low-end booming tone classic sound. It ships with medium weight strings and the fretboard action adjusted a little high; I ended up reducing the action a bit to more easily hit fast fretting grooves. And it's a beautiful instrument - I'm happy with the purchase.

  • I liked it so well, I bought another one just like it.

I dig it! It's beautiful. It's perfectly playable out of the box. I have been thoroughly enjoying playing it for 2 weeks now. As with any instrument in this price range...you may need to get it professionally set up for shows and touring. All that being said, I love it!

  • I didn't mean to buy a bass, but glad I did!

I really enjoy playing this bass. I have to say that the flame top is killer, pictures don't do it justice. There were a few things, like the pick guard didn't fit just right, but I fixed that myself because this particular bass has a feel and sound that I don't want to change. Fender seems to be an industry standard for a reason! Actually I just went to the store to check out some amps, but immediately fell in love with this one. I told my wife "I better put this down before I fall in love with it." She replied "It's too late for that!"
