Description

The legendary Fender Player Jazz Bass is a workhorse bass guitar offering iconic tone and feel. It's equipped with a pair of punchy single-coil pickups for the brand's characteristic sound, combined with a fast-playing maple neck and vintage-style hardware for a classic playing experience.

Fender Player Jazz Bass Pickups

Dual Single-Coil Pickups Provide Legendary Tone

The Fender Player Jazz Bass is loaded with a pair of single-coil pickups for the warm, rumbling tone that Fender basses are known for. The bridge pickup has a sharp, biting tone that cuts through the mix, while the neck pickup produces a round, full sound. Using the volume controls for each pickup, you can blend the pickups together for a range of tones, from aggressive to mellow.

Fender Player Jazz Bass Maple Neck

Fast-Playing Maple Neck

The Fender Player Jazz Bass features a maple neck with a comfortable Modern C-shaped profile. Maple provides a tight, punchy tone and solid sustain. The 9.5" radius maple fingerboard has 20 medium-jumbo frets, ideal for almost any playing style. The 4-saddle bridge allows for accurate intonation and action adjustment so you can customize the feel.

Fender Player Jazz Bass Body

Vintage-Style Hardware and Electronics

To complete the classic Fender vibe, the Player Jazz Bass includes vintage-style hardware like open-gear tuners, a 3-ply pickguard and an “F”-stamped neck plate. The volume and tone controls use high-quality potentiometers and capacitors for transparent tone shaping.

Whether you're looking for your first serious bass or a reliable workhorse, the Fender Player Jazz Bass delivers iconic tone and feel at an accessible value. Plug in, dial up your favorite tone and let the creative inspiration flow.

Neck was bowed and needed adjustment.

It used to be an instrument was set up and ready to go right off the shelf (wall). The salesperson seemed completely unconcerned that he was selling an instrument that needed adjustment before it could be properly played. Fortunately, I know how to adjust truss rods and raise/lower bridge saddles. Only due to immediate availability did I purchase this instrument. Very disappointed in the lack of care/professionalism of Guitar Center. I will express this to other musicians that i know. Other online sellers have much more integrity (ie. Sweetwater) and I will promote and buy strictly from them in the future. Good bye Guitar Center!

My first fender and I'm so happy with this instrument! Packaging was meticulous and the bass arrived in perfect shape as it should have. It plays and sounds so well and the finish is really nice. Loving that buttercream! This is my fourth bass from guitar center and I've been satisfied every time.

Regular, non studio use I enjoy playing this bass, powerful sound even if the pick up may need to be changed in the future.

Very nice overall. Beautiful finish and very playable. Frets are clean and even. There was some minor fret bulging on both sides of the fingerboard but that's climate related and the store technician cleaned it up for me at no charge. I wpuld buy it again.

I bought the bass new and received a store display that was damaged which was a shame because the bass was light and the wood looked nice. I was surprised by the neck, the back has a satin finish which makes it feel better and faster. The bass needed to be setup because the intonation was bad.

  • I would Not Buy This Bass- Quality Is Very bad

Fender Need to Put Quality Back into the company. For the price of this bass, it is not worth the money. Fender name should stand for something but the quality of this guitar is bad. I have cheap bass guitar that offer better quality control that this bass at a 1/3 of the cost.

What is the "blemish" on this? And were the alnico 5 single coil pick ups ever used on the American made basses?

    Open Reply - Beau
Unfortunately, we have no way of knowing what the blemish is. However, it would only be a minor cosmetic flaw and would not effect the guitars play ability.
