The Player Series Stratocaster | Player Series | Fender
The Fender Player Jaguar electric guitar provides a modern take on the iconic offset instrument. Featuring a sleek alder body and maple neck with a comfortable pau ferro fingerboard, the 24" scale Jaguar encourages you to explore new sounds and playing styles. The Player Series pickups—a crisp single-coil in the neck and a humbucker with a coil-split in the bridge—provide an exceptional tonal range from bright and articulate to full and warm. A redesigned floating tremolo tailpiece offers shimmer and expression while keeping tuning stable. Made for musical adventurers, the Player Jaguar inspires you to create whatever music comes to mind.
Dual Pickups Unlock a Spectrum of Tones
Respecting Fender's heritage while maintaining an innovative spirit, the Player Jaguar's pickups provide authentic tone with a modern edge. The single-coil neck pickup is crisp and defined, while the humbucking bridge pickup sounds huge and warm. A coil-split switch unlocks Fender's classic single-coil bridge tone. Shape your sound further with master volume and tone controls.
Floating Tremolo Tailpiece Adds Expression
The redesigned tremolo tailpiece offers the shimmer and quaver Jaguar players love with improved tuning stability. Add subtle tremolo or divebomb effects without knocking the guitar out of tune. Lock the tremolo down for rock-solid intonation when needed.
Fast, Comfortable Neck and Fingerboard
The maple neck's modern C shape and satin urethane finish provide an ideal playing feel for any style. The pau ferro fingerboard has a 9.5" radius and 22 medium jumbo frets, allowing smooth note bending and expressive soloing.
Iconic Jaguar Style With Modern Refinements
The offset alder body and chrome accents give the Player Jaguar its signature stylish look. Other features include a synthetic bone nut, vintage-style tuners and an F-stamped neck plate. When you need a guitar to inspire new music, reach for the Player Jaguar, available at Guitar Center.

Incredible guitar
Picked this jaguar up a couple days ago, and I couldn't be happier with it. I was stuck between choosing this guitar and a mexican standard stratocaster, and I had to choose this one. It plays great, as smooth as a strat. The upgraded bridge is a major plus if you're looking for a jaguar; there is no string slippage at all, unless you bend harder than you're supposed to. There is occasionally a buzz coming from the bridge when playing individual notes, but it rarely happens. The pickups sound very nice, especially the bridge humbucker. The 3-way switch is far better and less complicated than the traditional 3 switches on a jaguar. Overall, it's a great jaguar and recommend it to any player.

Something different...
Playing this guitar feels different than playing anything else I have. the 24" scale and bridge setup just feels and sounds different. The scale length makes a difference and you'll notice when switching back and forth between this and other guitars. It's a fun guitar but at the current price I wish they would make a few changes. First is the fret ends are sharp and this was by choice. They were beveled but not rounded, not even a little. I wish they did that instead of me later. Also, I wish they used the vibrato with the lock! I can't figure out why a modern take on a classic doesn't have this feature! The bridge humbucker actually sounds better in split mode and pairs nicely with the neck single coil. It's actually better than the full humbucker... which is weird, but works on this Jag. The full humbucker is muddy and muffled, but it does respond to fuzz and distortion well... maybe it was intended to be this way? Overall it retains some of the loveable quirks of original Jags with some modern changes for the quirks aren't so loveable. It's fun and different and could be exactly what connects with you, but I don't think I would buy this model again.

I have had several 24" guitars. They always seemed a little difficult to do basic cords, crowded finger space. But this has the 9.5" radius. That makes it a little wider, easer to manage. ….. that's some of the good.. my bad was this guitar came soooo out of wack it took hours to figure out.. it rattled, buzzed, the intonation was way off, the strings were crummy quality, fretboard needed a little attention.. I have had Squires in better ready to play condition. But after a long , long attention to detail, watching many YouTube setUp videos. I FINALLY got it! Now it plays great! Sooo , great guitar, fair pricePoint guitar, good quality,,, CRUMMY factory attention to detail setUp.

Love this guitar

Purchased this guitar via mail from Guitar Center in November 2020 as a birthday gift for myself. Am thrilled with the quality of sound vs the sound of my short scale Mitchell TD100 and Fender mini Strat. I need a shorter scale guitar due to arthritis to avoid extensive reaching which led me to purchase the mini Strat and the MitchelT100 as my first guitars. After playing for almost a year, I was ready to move up to a higher quality instrument. The 24" scale of the Mustang, Duo Sonic, and the Jaguar all seemed like the best short scale options. I settled on the Jaguar. The 24" scale has been a great match for my need to avoid extensive reaching. The 24" scale combined with the high quality sound, and tuning stability has made this Jaguar a thrill to play. There was some buzz early on, but that seems to have gone away on its own. My only complaint is that the guitar strap, even with a locking mechanism on it, occasionally comes dislodged from guitar. Something in the design of the strap button on my Jaguar seems to create a mild risk of the strap coming loose. Since I play sitting down almost all the time this has not been a big issue for me. However, someone who intends to play standing most of the time should play the instrument while standing in the store prior to purchase in case this is an actual design flaw vs user error on my part. Otherwise, this is a great guitar.
I bought another one!

I love this guitar! It plays so good! The 24" short scale neck is wonderful. I have short fingers and this guitar is very comfortable for me. I could have bought any Jaguar that I wanted so I bought this Player to try them out. And with very minimal work, this has turned out to be a very playable and capable gigging guitar! I changed the bridge, tailpiece, and put locking tuners on it, then I did a little finish work to the fret ends and voila, a really great guitar for less than a grand. I even ordered another one from Guitar Center as a backup just in case something happened to this one. I never take just one guitar to a gig! Things can get broken. Good look on your search and happy playing!
