Distinctive Flame And Feather Motifs For Bold Visual Impact

The Monster Hunter Rathalos Telecaster stands out with its bold visual design inspired by the fire dragon Rathalos. Its satin polyester finish in Rathalos Red showcases the intricate flame and feather motifs that wrap around the body, symbolizing the dragon's fierce nature. The tortoiseshell pickguard and black hardware amplify the rugged yet elegant aesthetic, creating a stunning visual experience from every angle. Fender has meticulously crafted this design to honor the Monster Hunter franchise while maintaining the guitar's professional-grade build quality. Beyond its striking appearance, this model's satin finish enhances resonance by allowing the wood to breathe naturally, ensuring a vibrant and dynamic tonal response. This unique blend of artistic detail and tonal quality makes the instrument a true standout.

Custom Rathalos Pickups For Powerful, Versatile Tones

This guitar's sonic power comes from its exclusive Monster Hunter Rathalos humbucking neck pickup and single-coil bridge pickup. Designed to deliver dynamic tones with a punchy low end and rich midrange, these pickups excel in high-gain settings, making them ideal for distortion-heavy leads and tight rhythms. The bridge pickup provides articulate clarity and bite, while the humbucking neck pickup adds warmth and fullness, ensuring a balanced tonal palette. A 3-position blade switch allows seamless transitions between pickups or combines their voices for layered textures. Whether you're crafting soaring melodies or aggressive riffs, the Rathalos pickups deliver the tonal range and responsiveness needed to unleash your creativity.

Premium Neck And Fingerboard For Effortless Playability

The maple neck on this limited-edition Telecaster features a satin urethane finish for a smooth, fast-playing feel. Its comfortable C-shaped profile fits naturally in the hand, providing excellent grip for both intricate lead work and extended chord progressions. The rosewood fingerboard offers a warm, organic playing surface, enhanced by the medium jumbo frets for effortless bending and precise intonation. A custom Rathalos inlay at the 12th fret adds visual intrigue while maintaining Fender's legendary craftsmanship. With a 9.5-inch radius and bone nut, this neck ensures reliable tuning stability and fluid playability, making it ideal for both studio sessions and live performances.

Admittedly, this design isn't for everyone. The vibe is positively aimed at the type of person that knows what Monster Hunter even is but, I feel like it can tick boxes for some that don't. It's a well built instrument with output to spare. It's useful to have a telecaster that has a little more body in the low end, even in the bridge position. I'm going to be playing mine for a long time and I am sure it will keep bringing me joy. Get one while you can.

As a nearly twenty year Monster Hunter veteran, and guitar player for about the same amount of time, I had an existential need to own this guitar. While it's not necessarily the design I would have picked, it gets a lot of compliments and the red on the headstock looks awesome. Fit and finish is flawless and the fretwork is the smoothest I've ever played. The action was a little high out of the box, which was easily fixed by just adjusting the bridge. There's more neck relief than I'm used to as well, but I'll just adjust that when it's time to restring. Maybe those are just Telecaster things, but don't get me wrong, this thing can shred. And the pickups are hotter than a standard Tele, which I really appreciate. The tone is nice and bright and snappy like you would expect from a Tele, only more so, and it can still get crushingly heavy with a Tube Screamer and high gain amp. Overall, I couldn't be happier with this guitar, can't wait to see it in-game. Happy hunting!

  • Do not order this guitar

You will never get this guitar. I have had this guitar on back order since 4/11 and they never sent the guitar. They say they do not take the money until sending guitar but they have had the money locked down since May. If you ask them about it they will tell you it is PayPal's fault. If you ask about the guitar they will tell you they have more than enough coming in. Then the last surprise you get they will cancel your order without your knowledge again blaming PayPal. If you really want the guitar go elsewhere. Ordering it from Guitar Center you will never get the guitar.

Unparalleled Japanese craftsmanship alongside unique design with matte finish: how can you play any other telecaster after that? It was also perfectly tuned (as expected, but always a nice touch) right as I pulled it from the hard shell case (that also is of the great quality with unique to the release labeling). Absolutely happy with the purchase, there's nothing to add but that it's simply BEAUTIFUL inside and out!
