I don't play well. But I like to pretend I do. And oh man does this help me pretend. The fit and finish is not even a conversation. My first Strat and SSS, and sounds you can make with this and just a poser amp however we can discuss for days. I now understand comments like vintage crunch and single coil this and that people talk about. Feels great, handles great. Unless I was way better, I don't think I need anything else for a while. This will help me get there though. 6 stars.

The pickups are very articulate and it's easy to play. Makes me want to play more. Very high quality build. Tuners are quite nice. Stays in tune well.

The difference in quality is immediately apparent. I returned a made in Mexico Stratocaster that was only a couple hundred dollars cheaper because of poor quality. I was worried when I ordered this, but the quality is excellent. I guess the MIJ makes a difference.

Would you ride Harley or Honda? Same question : MIA or MIJ Stratocaster. Both great. But I always was a bigger fan of Hondas )))

I was looking for a 70s/ early 80s strat. Hearing that they weighed a ton and the quality control was an issue back in the day, I couldn't justify ordering one with out trying it. Well when fender announced they were re-introducing these at this price point, I jumped on it. The neck is great feeling. The set up out of the box was perfect. The pickups sound clear and crisp in every position. They sound is very "straty". I love the light weight basswood body. And no basswood does not make it sound any less like a strat. Fit and finish it's an excellent guitar. I do think the quality is a notch above MIM strats.

How much does this guitar weigh? Please give accurate weight, thanks.

    Open Reply - Gear-Support
All guitars vary depending on the density of the wood. Manufacturers usually only spec size and type of wood. Guitars are generally between 6 and 12 lbs. They can be more. The only way to know the weight of an individual instrument is to weigh it. I'm sorry but I don't have one to weigh. This will be approximately 7.5 lbs.
