Exploring the Kingfish Telecaster Deluxe | Artist Signature Series | Fender
The Kingfish Telecaster Deluxe features two custom humbucking pickups voiced for growling, overdriven blues rock and an Adjusto-Matic bridge for perfect intonation. The V-shaped roasted maple neck has a classic feel, while the 12" radius slab rosewood fingerboard delivers chunky tones and big bends. The mesmerizing Mississippi Night finish has a shimmering purple glow that recalls a dark winter sky in Clarksdale. Other special features on this guitar include Kingfish’s signature on the headstock, a custom neck plate and a "K" crown logo on the pickup covers.

Love this Telecaster

I've been playing for 40 years and probably owned 100 guitars over the years. They come and ya swap and sell. This Telecaster is a keeper. It plays great. The soft V neck feels good under the fingers. The fit and finish is flawless. Love the color. Volume pots are a bit stiff but I'm sure they'll break in.
Don't let the "V" neck fool you

I usually stay away from signature guitars but after I seen this baby on a video I knew I had to try it out. At first I was a little intimidated as it's listed as having a V neck. But it's not what you think. This neck is one of the most comfortable I've used. I compare it to a LP style neck. The sound it outputs is one of a kind. Super versatile from rock to ambient. The pickups are specifically made for it and doesn't come on any other model. The finish is AMAZING. Pics and videos don't do it justice at all. My top 3 finishes I've ever seen. I put a pic to see the actual finish. Fender and Kingfish knocked it out of the park. They could've charged another 2-300 for it and I would say it's worth it. GET THIS GUITAR

This guitar is very versatile and well built. Setup came perfect out the box. It has a harmonic ring to it , I guess from high quality tone wood. This one is definitely special.
Highly versatile guitar

This is marketed as a blues guitar but to be honest, it's much more. I don't play blues -- mainly rock and punk -- and bought it largely for the color (which is exceptional). The pickups are not vintage output. They have a 'vintage tone' but they're hotter than traditional PAFs. You can get a huge range of tones out of it, from tight modern pop-punk to 90s crunch overdrive to clear chime. Think everything from Blink 182 to Pearl Jam to Radiohead. And yes, I bet it's a great blues guitar, too. The neck is a 'soft V' but it's not like a vintage V shape, and if you told me it was a meaty C shape I would have believed it. It's very comfortable to play and to do bar chord changes on. The satin finish is very fast and feels broken in. Acoustically, it rings like a bell with a lot of overtones and is just as nice strumming unplugged on the couch as it is in front of a cranked Friedman or Deluxe Reverb. The fit and finish on mine is exceptional and on par with my custom shop Fenders. I definitely have to give it to the production team who made a really nice instrument. Fret work is spot on -- no sprouting or high spots. Oh, and the color...
