    I play this instrument in church and just for fun (and for my sanity). It serves both purposes and the sound is beautiful. As a new instrument, it did go out of tune at first, but with several consecutive tunings, it has improved greatly. I like the fact that the tuners are all on one side - makes tuning and string changes much easier. I definitely recommend this instrument.

    we got this for my daughter who plays violin but wants to branch out to other stringed instruments. she has not gotten it yet but she is going to LOVE it. feels very solid, really pretty, good sound. plus it lead to us discovering the girl it was made after.

    I asked for this uke for Christmas and can I just say, this is a wonderful product! I am so happy with it and I can't put it down! I have had NO problems with her yet and I don't expect any. Her color is absolutely beautiful! The strings are ok but I guess if you want to replace them you can but I think they are just fine as they are. She is everything I could ever ask for and I am so so so very happy with the purchase! :)))

    Can a ukulele strap go on this ukulele?

    There's an end pin for one side, so you would need the string for the other end and you tie it just above the nut or if you'd rather you can have a second one installed but this would be a bit of modification.

    This ukulele is made of Mahogany. This has Fender California Coast Series Ukulele Soprano Nylon Strings. This comes with just the ukulele and would be appropriate for an 8 year old beginner.
