Since I'm the first one to review this guitar, I'll start from the beginning. I've had several 3/4 (22" scale) travel guitars. All felt cramped to play. This has a 23.5" scale. Much more comfortable to play. The extra 1.5" makes a big difference. Plays pretty good right out of the box. Action is reasonable enough and it plays in tune all the way up and down the neck. My only knock is the plastic saddle and nut. I know it's only a $200 guitar but, it does have a solid top and I'd like to at least have it come with a Graphtec saddle. Especially since the action out of the box is pretty good...at least in my case. I'll be doing this upgrade on my own.....personal preference. Sound is decent enough though. Remember, it's a 7/8 travel guitar......it's not gonna' be a cannon! Tuners are OK. They work smoothly and stay in tune. Solid spruce top with laminated Mahogany back and sides. Mahogany neck, Rosewood fingerboard. All in all, fit it out with a Fender FAS-610 gig bag and it's a nice little travel guitar that fits in an airline overhead compartment. Fender is not known for acoustics but, if you want a comfortable feeling and playing travel guitar, without having to shell of $400+ for it, this is definitely worth a look.
