Introducing The American Ultra Series | Fender

Description
The Fender American Ultra Jazz Bass is designed for players who want the most advanced, highest performance Jazz Bass ever made. The team spent over two years on intense R&D, analyzing and improving everything on this new flagship line. American made in Corona, California, the American Ultra J Bass features new noiseless pickups, advanced electronics, tapered heel and body contours, a redesigned neck profile, a maple fretboard with rolled edges and new stage-ready finishes. It all adds up to a Jazz Bass you’ll never part with. But don’t let these modern updates fool you. The vibe of the American Ultra Series Jazz Bass is still classic Fender.

Ultra Noiseless pickups
The American Ultra P Bass is loaded with two Ultra Noiseless Vintage Jazz Bass pickups. The sound is pure, classic Fender: bright and rich mids with zero noise or hum.

Advanced electronics
The pickups can be further colored with an active/passive preamp, featuring new, re-voiced EQ points. The other controls on the American Ultra Jazz Bass are also ultra-modern. Pickup selects are made with a pan pot. Explore more tonal possibilities with boost/cut switches for bass, midrange and treble.

New neck heel
A first for Fender, the American Ultra’s sculpted neck heel allows for effortless access to the upper frets. It’s a significant reduction in bulk at the base of the neck, super thin but structurally sound with maximum resonance.

New neck profile
The American Ultra J Bass neck has a modern-D profile. It’s flatter than a standard-D, with a faster back and a little more “meat” on the shoulders. Fender created an all-new process to apply a thin coat of satin urethane, giving the neck a completely smooth, raw wood feel. Your hands won’t stick here. The maple fretboard has rolled edges for added comfort.
