Fender American Performer Limited-Edition Mustang Electric Bass Guitar Satin Honey Burst
Description
This limited-edition Mustang displays a ’70s-era silver logo on the headstock for some vintage vibe, but most other features are designed for creating the music of today. Yosemite pickups—a Jazz Bass single-coil in the bridge and a coiling-splitting Mustang single-coil in the middle position—produce powerful and versatile tones with an expressive dynamic range. A Greasebucket circuit in the lone tone control rolls off high end without increasing lows—which is great when you want to dial in a round thud without risking muddiness or boominess. Born in Corona, California, the American Performer limited-edition Mustang Bass is ready to bring joyous, sun-drenched grooves to any style of music.

Great short scale bass

Amazing sound. Super easy to play. I checked it out over 3 months at GC before I bought it. And everytime I tried it, it was in tune. Says something about the build quality. I don't know why it was a "Special Edition" and cost $100 less then the regular Mustang Performers. I think it's the best looking.

I wish I had this bass when I started playing bass guitar in high school. I started on a fender P bass, which I still own, but this short scale base would have made learning a little easier. I like the way it sounds and feels when I play it. I really love the satin wood grain finish. The fit and finish on the bass is very good. I'm very happy with my purchase.

I have been eyeing the Fender Mustang P/J Basses since they were announced at NAMM. I am a guitarist and even though I don't NEED a bass, I find it inspiring to have one around for writing and recording purposes. This thing plays like a dream and is so light and comfortable I can't put it down. I was not really shopping for a bass but when I saw the honey burst finish I was obsessed and had to have it. I've always loved the unfinished woodgrain look and the newer Fender matte finishes are just stunning and feel so good in your hands.
Just like the rosewood counterpart- it's a great short bass

I have been playing bass for 35 years. I prefer short scale basses and that's what I play 90% of the time now. This American Performer LE has become of my top 5. I also have the rosewood model, they're both quality instruments and exactly what you'd expect from Fender USA. I love the added versatility of having a jazz pickup on a Mustang Bass.

How much does this LE american performer mustang bass weigh ?
All basses vary depending on the density of the wood. Even the same model can vary up to 1.5 lbs Manufacturers usually only spec size and type of wood. Bass Guitars are generally between 8.00 and 10.00 lbs. The only way to know the weight of an individual instrument is to weigh it. I'm sorry I don't have one to weigh. This will be approximately 8.0 – 8.5 lbs.submitted3 years ago

other than a maple fretboard and colors what if any difference is there between the AP limited-edition Mustang bass from Guitar Center vs the regular AP Mustang bass. Fenders spec says the regular model has 22 frett and jumbo frets,,I know the 22 frets is wrong. Having a satin finish on the neck is important to me. Does the Limited edition come with a gig bag like the regular model does? thanks Larry
Yes it does - Fender Deluxe P/J Bass Gig Bag
