Comments about Fender Acoustic 100 100W 1x8 Acoustic Guitar Combo Amplifier:

I was looking for an acoustic guitar amp for small venues and the guys from GC recommended me this one. I wasn't sure at first since I couldn't find a lot of stuff online about, but I plugged my guitar, played a bit and really liked. A couple days later I took it to a wine bar with me to give it a try, played with my Martin d28 with a LR Baggs anthem SL on it and I was really really impressed! It's one of the best acoustic guitar sounds I've ever had live, super clear and natural, really easy to get a good sound, super light and good looking.
Had no problems cutting through the band (we had a bass, drums, piano and at one point violin and accordion) and it sounded incredible BUT the venue was as pretty small (probably around 60 or 65 people) and my volume was around 3/4 already, so I returned the amp and ordered the acoustic 200 instead.
If you play in small places or don't have a full band this amp is incredible for it's price, otherwise I'd recommend putting a little more and getting the 200.

Comments about Fender Acoustic 100 100W 1x8 Acoustic Guitar Combo Amplifier:

Purchased a Fender Acoustic 100 this month. The sound response and functionality is just a beautiful as the cabinet itself. I am very pleased with the sound reproduction and tone. I looked at the Fishman LB Mini which is another fantastic small amp. What sold me on the Fender Acoustic 100, as I am using it as a bedroom pracrice amp for my Taylor 414ce are three features not available on the Fishman LB Mini, Bluetooth for playing backing tracks, a 1/4" headphone jack for private listening during practice, and a USB port for direct recording to my laptop.

If I did not have those three specific needs as described above, I would have probably have purchased the Fishman LB Mini, although I am really not sure given the beautiful cabinet.

Other things to consider between these two small acoustic guitar amps, no master volume on the Fender, but did not concern me due to nature of my need for a practice amp, and the diffence between a 1X8 wizzard cone in the Fender, versus a 1x6 speaker and 1x1 tweeter in the Fishman.

Also liked that Fender had identical independent two channel on-board special effects (more special effects than the Mini to make my practice sessions more interesting).

Boy, did I struggle with decision between these two units, but in the end decided upon the Fender and I have not been disappointed.

Comments about Fender Acoustic 100 100W 1x8 Acoustic Guitar Combo Amplifier:

I wanted to love this amp. I bought it online without hearing it first, just based on reviews and Youtube videos. And it was on sale for Christmas so I figured I was getting a great deal. On the plus side- if you are a finger picker this might be the right amp for you. When I was just picking it sounded okay. I strum mostly and bought the amp because I've recently written several songs that I wanted a 2 channel amp to practice my guitar and vocals with. So, on the negative side- I could never get a good tone strumming with this amp. It was either too bright or too muddy. I was so bummed the first time I played it. With a good amp there is usually a feeling of, "wow, this is a great sound!"... not so with this. I wanted to make it work though so I kept it for 3 weeks and repeatedly kept adjusting it. I tried playing it on my floor, on an amp stand at different heights... I tried turning every dial every which way and never got a good tone for me and what I like to play. Take it with a grain of salt I guess. The treble strings when strumming a chord, the highs were very... ice picky? There was a very unpleasant shrillness to them. And when I adjusted for it it sounded like I was playing through a wet blanket. It was very frustrating and disappointing. Btw- I'm playing a Martin DRS1 and running my vocals through a Heil mic. The effects... were just okay. Some of them seemed nonexistent until you pushed the volume pretty high. The slap back echo for instance. In a certain Youtube video it sounds great, but I couldn't hear it at all until I cranked it up pretty high. The build quality is nice enough. It's light. I just didn't like the tone. I took it back tonight and got a Fishman Loudbox Mini. The difference is amazing. Strumming my first chords through the Fishman were like strumming on a guitar that has amazing tone and you just want that guitar SO bad. Very balanced compared to the Fender. And louder. YMMV... Not trying to steer you away, just sharing my experience.

Comments about Fender Acoustic 100 100W 1x8 Acoustic Guitar Combo Amplifier:

Recently bought an Epiphone DR500MCE with no thoughts of using the pickups, but we all know how that goes. Play weekly with some friends so wanted something 40w or larger. Tried the Acoustic 40 and it was a little muddy, the Fender Acoustasonic 90 had really good highs, but no low end, the Fishman Mini Loudbox was the best of the 3 right at the $300 price range I was looking at. My wife saw this one at $399 and said give it a try, I hit one open G chord and we both looked at each other and knew we were taking it home. It sounded better to me than the other 3 by far, at least with the dual pickup configuration my guitar has. It is attractive too and much easier to carry than my 2 12" 50w tube combo for my electric guitar.

Comments about Fender Acoustic 100 100W 1x8 Acoustic Guitar Combo Amplifier:

I had spent a couple hours trying out amps for a show I had coming up. After trying a few, they recommended the new fender 100. I was blown away! For such a small amp, it filled the venue. Couldn't be happier with the quality of this amp!
