Fender amp pedal
By Harry

Comments about Fender 2-Button Vintage RCA Footswitch:
I ordered the "blemished" two button pedal for my used Vibrolux. I was told that there would not be any serious defect, maybe very slight use. After recieving the pedal and opening the box, there was no blemish on the chrome or anything noticable. So I flipped it over, and there were some some marks on the pad. Now I feel the blemish pedal is a good was to go. Only comment. The jacks are not labeled, and it makes a difference which plug they go into. Not a problem.

It looks good and works great

Comments about Fender 2-Button Vintage RCA Footswitch:
I'd give it 5 stars if it were not made in China. It looks great and it works. I suppose I could have tried to find an authentic one somewhere for more money. As for which RCA Jack is for VIB and which is REV - you can try it either way and see which works for which. But: White = Vibrato Silver = Reverb

Good product, design a little poor, but easy fix
Comments about Fender 2-Button Vintage RCA Footswitch:
Works great, like the small size, plug ins seem rugged, not flimsy. Didn't like that the plug came facing forward, so I peeled off the sticker and switched it around to face backward, then switched spots on the back of my amp. This would not work w/ a single plug cord. Manufacturer should change that.

Functional, But...
Pros
Cons
Best Uses
Comments about Fender 2-Button Vintage RCA Footswitch:
It looks new and shiny, and does work. BUT the foot switches are soft in feel, leaving the user to guess whether he or she has actually effected a change. The old style "vintage" RCA connectors look sloppily soldered, and the overall integrity of the connector ends looks shabby. I bought this when selling my 1974 Twin Reverb, and I'm very happy that it is available, but I think the workmanship is a little TOO "vintage."
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Works well for what it's made for.

Comments about Fender 2-Button Vintage RCA Footswitch:
A friend made a clone of the original Fender Deluxe Reverb. It required the proper two button footswitch with the double cables. The function works rather well, only issue I have is the feel of the buttons being pressed is a little too easy when wearing shoes.. Its a little hard to feel if the button clicked or not.

OK

Comments about Fender 2-Button Vintage RCA Footswitch:
I'm needing to sell my '72 Twin, and had lost the foot switch, so I needed to replace it so I could prove that the reverb and the the vibrato functions work (they do). I agree with the other reviewer who commented on the soft response of the foot switches- you don't get a real solid, mechanical "click" sound or feel, but it works. The chrome metal upper case seems solid enough. Kind of curious as to why the one braided cable has so much exposed length, which would seem to make it vulnerable to fraying. Same standard on these things on their aren't really different sources to pick from. If they are all like the one I got, I would recommend splaying out the flanges on the RCA plug heads a little as they make a very tight connection to the female receptors on the amp that it's hard to pull them off and one can slip ones grip and end up yanking the wire, which could lead to a problem. So, seems ok not having put any wear on it. It's very simple wiring and parts, made in Mexico, and expect it cost about $7 to produce. Like I said, not much choice.
