THE BASS FROM GOD!!!!!

Just like Jaco's original, this monster boasts enough versitility of tone to go from a rich, growling punch to a synth-style, watery solo tone in just a few knob turns. That's how awesome the pickups in this puppy are. The neck is unbelievably thin and fast, the result of much sanding on the Fender custom shop's part. Also, the action and intonation of the bass are incredible, especially considering that it's a fretless! I also love the sunburst. The fact that it (the body), just like the neck, is relic-ed just makes it even better. Overall, I'm more impressed with this bass than any other Iv'e ever played. It's a BEAST! (Even if it is 4G's!)

Oh, man, I've tried alot of basses, including many fretlesses, but nothing I have ever played can compare with this. The Jaco has the ability to have a growling, somewhat prog-rock bass sound, and then switch to a kinda Wah-ish solo player jazz style in a few knob turns! The neck's sanded down finish allows for quick riffs all over, and the thinness of it is great for someone who doesn't have very long or flexible fingers. The body is extremely resonant, and the pickups give off that classic 60's jazz bass vibe (although they can't precisely duplicate it, but then again, who and what could?) If the price tag were only a slight bit lower. Oh, well, for Fender's best I can live with it. Not that I'll be able to afford it anytime in this decade.
The Most awesome bass.

I have used this bass before and I would love to own this treasure but just don't have the wallet for it. It plays beautifully and is one of the most smooth playing basses I have ever played on. I highly recommend this piece of history and is a must for all bass players.
