    I got a pair of these used about 8 months ago to use with my Fostex VF160. Because of the Fostex I have to used the unbalanced inputs, though I'm not sure what the impact of that is. They are clear enough with little distortion but given their weight size and the fact that they are bi-amped, they are not very loud at all. In fact I need to max the volume on each of the speakers and the VF-160 to get volume above conversational level.
