I tried this head on my Gretsch Renown Series Steel Snare and lm going to replace it with an Evans Haze 300 or clear snare side head which is more sensitive to me and yielding to the sound l hear in my head.
The Orchestral 300 Is a Gem

I used Orchestral 300 Snare Side Head with the Evans Hybrid Grey Snare Batter. This combination is truly awesome. The "Orchestral 300" provides a little more sensitivity than the "Clear 300". It also provides a slightly more organic (i.e., natural/acoustic) sound. Don't hesitate to give this snare side head a try, you will be amazed.
