Description
It may be tempting to buy a "better" horn used, but saxophones are mechanically complex, and if the horn is not well regulated and set up properly, it will be extremely difficult for a student to play. It is perhaps advisable then for a new student to get a brand-new Etude EAS-100 as they are perfectly prepped to ready to play right out of the case. It will be shiny and beautiful, and your young saxophonist will jump up and down and squeal when he or she sees it. It's been proven that pride of ownership inspires practice, and practice leads to success.
Etude
Etude believes that price should not be a barrier to experiencing the growth and joy that comes from making music. That's why Etude offers you five of the most popular woodwind and brass instruments at an incredible price: flute, clarinet, alto sax, trumpetand trombone. And no matter which you choose, you get a great design and outstanding construction that will give you years of musical enjoyment. See for yourself.

Unless You Like Disappointment and Wasting Time
Stay away from this product. Out of the box, brand new, several of the keys did not seat properly and leaked air. Brought it back to the store and the person who helped us arranged for a return. The 'return' came, but honestly I don't believe this was a replaced item, but a repaired item. In any event, again, leaking air and a piece of cork popped off the third time in use. I'm faced now with going back to the store again! I'll be asking either for a NEW instrument or that Guitar Center pay for the cost of a professional repair.

I got this to start playing sax and it did it's job. But ounce you get to the intermediate-professional level it just won't do what you need it to do. It doesn't hold tune on many lower notes and the office key needs small repairs constantly but this is after 3 years so it's probably time for a new one. I mostly use it for marching band and the projection is absolutely horrible. Everyday I am fighting to play over other parts.

I just started to learn how to play the alto saxophone. When I purchased this instrument, it was really good. It made me happy, and the tone quality and the style is amazing. As a beginner, I would definitely use this if you're starting to play the alto sax!
