Ernie Ball Music Man: Inspired Innovation - The All-New John Petrucci Majesty

Ernie Ball Music Man
Description

The Ernie Ball Music Man Majesty 7-string electric guitar represents the pinnacle of modern guitar design and innovation. Co-created with prog-metal virtuoso John Petrucci of Dream Theater, this premium instrument delivers massive sustain, a distinctive voice and unmatched playability and versatility. Whether you're crafting complex solo passages or unleashing blistering riffs, the Majesty 7-string has everything you need to take your playing to new heights.

Premium Tonewoods Deliver Resonance and Playability

The foundation for the Majesty's incredible tone and feel starts with its premium tonewood construction. The okoume body delivers warm, resonant lows and delicate highs for a balanced, musical voicing. The mahogany neck features a smooth hand-rubbed ebony fingerboard that plays effortlessly up and down the neck. The neck-through design maximizes sustain while the ergonomic contoured body shape ensures playing comfort even during marathon sessions.

Signature Pickups Deliver Petrucci's Iconic Tones

At the heart of the Majesty 7-string's voice are Petrucci's signature DiMarzio Dreamcatcher (bridge) and Rainmaker (neck) pickups. The Dreamcatcher bridge humbucker serves up searing leads and chunky rhythms with tight lows and glassy highs. The Rainmaker neck pickup provides warm, liquid tones ideal for melodic phrases and soaring solos. Together, they offer a wide range of sounds from pristine cleans to heavy distortion while retaining the articulation and dynamics that define Petrucci's iconic playing style.

Onboard Piezo Unlocks Endless Tonal Versatility

In addition to its powerful humbuckers, the Majesty 7-string sports an onboard piezo system integrated into the floating tremolo bridge. This innovative feature opens up an immense palette of acoustic and synthesized tones at your fingertips. Blend in the piezo for shimmering 12-string effects or go full piezo to capture authentic acoustic tones. The blending possibilities are limitless, letting you craft complex hybrid sounds that elevate your creativity.

Unleash Your Creativity With the Adjustable Boost

When you need to make your leads soar over the densest mixes, the Majesty 7-string has you covered. The push/push volume knob activates an adjustable boost circuit that can instantly raise your output up to 20dB. This powerful feature lets you effortlessly cut through walls of distortion, making your melodies and solos shine without overpowering your guitar tone. It's the perfect tool for dynamic players who need on-the-fly control over their lead levels.

I've had this guitar about 4 years and have made some beautiful and heavy music with it. I love the versatility with the piezo and humbucker pickups. It can make all sorts of clean and heavy tones with the pickup combinations, including changing the humbuckers to single coil and dialing in a 20db gain boost. The guitar feels great, stays in tune fairly well (make sure you tighten the locks as much as possible before turning the tuning pegs, sort of made that mistake initially), and looks amazing. It's worth ever penny and will be my forever guitar!
