Having written the only review of this product for GC so far, I thought I should submit an 8 month update on this guitar to temper my initial enthusiasm. However, I mistakenly posted it on the standard finish Epiphone EB-3 review page not the "Worn" EB-3 review page. So if you want to see the reason for my change of heart, read my initial review here and then go to the standard Epiphone EB-3 review page.

I have been playing bass guitars since 1965 when I bought my Hofner Beatle bass while in Germany. I have also been using a Fender "P" bass for about 10 years. I only play (rock and jazz)for my own enjoyment now and the Fender got too heavy for long sets so I decided to add something lighter to my collection. Not wanting to spend big bucks on what is now a hobby, I took a chance on the Epiphone SB3 "worn" model which was on sale. Boy! what a great deal! The SB3 is lighter, has a thinner/narrower neck and a much wider range of tones than the Fender. It requires less tuning between sessions and is not affected by the temperature. The action is faster and a real joy to play. It would be a great first guitar and could be used for small venue performing. The color is unique, the craftmanship is excellent and the hardware appears to be first class. I purchased it from Guitar Center on line. It was delivered quickly by UPS and in good condition.
