As a beginner guitar-this Epiphone is fine. It needs re-tuning and re-adjusting to maintain a proper tone, but I guess that is the price you pay for lower end guitar models. Now here's the problems: The gig-bag is too short for this longer guitar model-it sticks out the end-minor issue but annoying. Come on Epiphone/Gibson, let's put some thought into it Secondly, I needed a hard shell case. The Epiphone Les Paul Special 2 does not have a LEFT-HANDED hard shell case made by Epihone/Gibson. I called Epiphone's toll free number and they were so perplexed. I was told that "right handed" cases were shipped with these guitars and they fit all models...! NOPE. GC customer phone line assured me a Gator case would fit, so I ordered one-the molded case (Gator GC-LPS Deluxe LP-style guitar case #544782) that GC recommended and it will not fit this left handed guitar-too bad. I' still looking. So if you need a left handed case for your guitar for shipping of storing, do some homework first. A nice starter guitar, but if your intentions are to continue playing, pay a little more and look into the Epi Les Paul 100 or Epi Les Paul Custom-both are under $700 and give you a better sound This pack is solid for the beginner. The amp was better than I expected and the auto tuner worked fine You "righties" don't know how well you have it. Sale item guitars almost exclusively give deals on "standard" or for right handed players. Fight on Lefties!

This is the best guitar i ever had. It's similar to a Gibson in sound. the reverb on the amp make you feel like your in a recording studio. This guitar is great for beginners and left handed people. This will be the best Christmas or birthday present for a person who is left handed!

This starter pack is just great! The guitar works wonderfully and has a great finish. The humbucker does make for great sound and does a wonderful job replicating a Gibson! The amp is ok but it's still good. This pack is good for a lefty low on cash who's just starting. Great pack!
