Perfect for me, an absolute beginner.

I am an absolute beginner and had never held a guitar before. For me, this was the perfect purchase at an excellent price point (was on sale) that enabled me to start something I've always wanted to do. I recognize this kit is entry level, but it's complete and has everything needed to get you started. I have no comparison points, but my son is a drummer in a high-school rock band class, and he was surprised at how heavy the guitar is. I am using online classes from another guitar brand and using their tuning app. I have noticed that it does seem hard to keep in tune. I have ordered replacement strings hoping this will solve the tuning. I have also noticed that the pickup switch could be a bit more solid in the middle position. Not that I'm touching it while playing, but I noticed it has play and if slightly moved around you'll get static. Overall though, I think this package is a great starting point, and I can't wait to start shredding.

This guitar is terrible

What can I say, what a piece of garbage. I am very disappointed with the Gibson team for even approving this piece of trash. It feels like a toy, it won't keep tune, the machine heads are awful, the string quality feels like playing with fishing line. I pulled it out of the box, plugged it in, spent 15 minutes trying to tune it and when I started strumming, dogs barked it was so bad. If you are looking for a good guitar in this price range, buy the Squier, it is a much better guitar for the money. Sorry Guitar Center, it is not your fault, it is all on Epiphone. The guitar looks cool, but cool means nothing unless it plays...keep on rocking!

The guitar is good does have some problems like it untuned itself but overall the guitar I received was good but the amp was bad I was able to find a way to make it less staticky. It does have a buzzing sound but you get what you pay for and I am able to learn. I recommend to buy a amp that is better quality or just not buying this pack.

I love playing my acoustic geetar, and always wanted an electric. So I finally got one. I basically know Dead, Dylan and a couple of Janis tunes.

  • Please support a good guitar!

This thing is a steal. If your a beginner or an ok musician, this is for you. It has the classic les Paul feel and it plays quite well too. I got this guitar for a friend and he loved it! You will probably not find a better guitar for a price like this! (Only con is the amp isnt the best, but its pretty good for the price!)

This guitar is fine. As long as you don't have fat fingers. It plays well and sounds great.

This product is good and all, but it could be better. When I got it, in total i paid $220 dollars ($20 was tax) but i returned it when i saw the Squier guitar for only $20 more. The Squier 10G pack has everything this pack has, but extra effects on the guitar and amp. And it comes from Fender, so I know it's good quality. Overall, this is just a little overpriced for what I'm getting.

Just started playing guitar after many years and decided to pick up an inexpensive starter pack. Did a bunch of research and most people talk about the guitar and not so much the rest of the gear that comes with it, not surprisingly. I can't really complain. You get what you pay for, and the guitar is fantastic for me. The bag is okay, the zippers broke almost as soon as I pulled on them. The amp is hard to hear unless it's on the O. D. setting. The tuner works when it wants to, however the strap and picks are great. I would definitely recommend for a beginner, just be prepared to upgrade the amp earlier than you may want.

I'm buying this during quarantine and am a beginner guitarist--will this be pretty much ready to play out of the box? Or will it require set up? Asking because I won't be able to go to a guitar shop during this time.

    Open Reply - Beau
This guitar should have a factory setup and arrive ready to play out of the box.
