After selling my older Epi Les Paul, I saw that G.C. had this guitar on sale in White, after making a few calls around to the local G.C. there was a long lead time. I was told that it could be had in the Cherry finish pretty quick, but it was more money. G.C sent a $100. coupon through the email and I jumped on order it. I ordered it through a NH store as to avoid the 6.25 sales tax in my State. So with the coupon and no sales tax, I saved $175.00 including the case. This guitar in the Cherry finish is impressive. This is a nice guitar, it sounds great not plugged in, which usually indicates it's going to sound great plugged in, and it does. It's a little big and heavy, as can be expected, but not unyielding, get a good wide strap and have a go at the old standards... Hotel California and Stairway to Heaven.. you'll impress your friends and look like a Rock star doing it.

I want this to be a completely true and accurate, detailed appraisal of this guitar,so here it is. This is one of the Epiphone solid Bodies that I would Pay For. It Approaches a Gibson "studio" level of build quality with One piece necks, and a solid (if thin) maple top(Its not a veneer in the true sense). The 12 string neck is rock maple. The hardware and electronics are decent. If you wanted to upgrade the pickups, pots and switches, for instance, you could easily do so, and the end product could be something very High grade. The tuners bridges and tailpieces are die cast and are pretty much what come on studio and standard model Gibsons these days. They could also be easily upgraded. Yes The finish is a poly and i don't care for those, but many of you younger players don't seem to mind that a bit, and just the sheer mass and size of these things, kind of nullifies most of the adverse affects of using a heavy top coat.

I purchased this awesome instrument about 2 years ago.for the price and workmanship it is a bargain. as i am left handed i brought the one with the bolt on necks for the conversion.gave it to the man that does my guitars and he did a fantastic job on it.only ine slight problem i had with it the 12 string neck would go out of tune slightly...easily fixed with a little powdered graphite put on the nut and problen solved

If you are a garage band, let it go. This is for a player who can use it for more than "Stairway to Heaven". I love the way I can go from rhythem to lead and back without changing guitars. Which takes me to another statement; this guitar is heavy, as it should be for what your getting. I will pick this guitar up for at least one song a set on stage. You can get a lot of great sounds retuning the string sets, unfortunately it is only in the studio. Stage takes too long. As I said, unless you are a serious player, using it almost every week, you won't get your money's worth. If you are a serious player and can work it in your stage act, it's a great guitar and draws a lot of looks from the crowd.

This guitar is amazing! I've had mine for a little over a month now and I haven't found anything wrong with it yet. While some of the Epiphone SG guitars have bad necks that play really slowly, the 1275's necks are really playable. You can go from lower frets to higher ones quickly. It's also really easy to move from one neck to the other between sections of a song. Plus, you don't have to put on new pickups as soon as you buy the guitar. The pickups that come on the instrument sound great. The only downside to the guitar is that it gets a bit tricky to play fast licks past about the 18th or 19th fret. Other than that, this is a great guitar that could easily cost hundreds more on other sites.

Overall it is a good guitar. It has a really good clean sound and a good overdrive also. The only problems are that it is really heavy and it is really off balanced so if you let go of the neck it falls to the floor. I would suggest to buy a single neck guitar first for the same price.
