Overview

Epiphone's AJ-210CE Acoustic-Electric Outfit is a superbly built, professional-level dreadnought guitar with a select spruce top and classic cutaway design paired with state-of-the-art Shadow Performer Tuner Preamp and NanoFlex under saddle pickup system. Dreadnought acoustic guitars like the AJ-210CE are renowned for their commanding volume and full tone, making them an ideal choice for singer-songwriters types looking for a versatile instrument and frontmen/women wanting to stand out in the mix.

Includes hardshell case.

Top Wood
The AJ-210CE's select spruce top is complemented by 5-ply black and white binding and has a graceful cutaway for easy access to the upper frets. Spruce is a popular tonewood for tops as it gives acoustic guitars plenty of projection while mellowing with age and playing time, maturing with you, to reveal its distinctive character. In other words, the more you play your AJ-210CE, the better it will sound.

Other Features
The body and neck are made from select mahogany, adding tonal warmth and coloration to the power the spruce top provides. The AJ-210CE's SlimTaper neck is glued to the body with a classic dovetail joint and has a “D” profile, which, along with the cutaway, make it easy to get up and down the fingerboard with ease. The neck features 20 medium frets, a standard 25.5 in. scale, and its rosewood fingerboard is adorned with pearloid “Dot” inlays.

Other appointments include a “reverse belly” rosewood bridge and Epiphone-styled, imitation tortoise pickguard with a metal "E" logo as seen on popular, vintage Epiphone acoustics like the Texan and Caballero. Use the drop down menu to choose between Natural and Vintage Sunburst color finishes.

Electronics
Whether you're getting ready to record in the studio or about to show off your musical creations on stage, the AJ-210CE is equipped to handle all your needs thanks to onboard Shadow Performer Tuner Preamp and Shadow NanoFlex under saddle pickup system. Either way, play with confidence knowing that Shadow is a world leader in acoustic guitar electronics and this preamp/pickup combination ensures you'll hear the true sound of your guitar wherever you are.

Shadow's Performer Tuner preamp features all the controls needed to shape the tone of your AJ-210CE to suit your playing style or venue size, including a 2-band EQ, master volume control and built-in chromatic tuner. There's also a phase switch to eliminate any unwanted, untimely feedback, and a handy tuner/mute button that lets you plug in or unplug you cord without worry of those loud, ear-cracking pops. The Performer Tuner preamp uses two 2032 lithium watch batteries which are much lighter and last a lot longer than more traditional 9-volt battery-using preamps.

Shadow's proprietary NanoFlex low-impedance pickup rests under the AJ-210CE's compensated saddle. Unlike harsh-sounding piezo pickups, the NanoFlex has unique and flexible sensing material with integrated active electronics that pick up the string vibrations as well as top and body vibrations, for a truly acoustic tone.

Hardware
The AJ-210CE is equipped with Epiphone’s Premium Die-Cast machine heads with classic styled kidney buttons and a 14:1 tuning ratio, giving you fast, more accurate tuning. Strap buttons are pre-installed and the guitar is set up at the factory with legendary D'Addario Phosphor (12-53) strings.

Lifetime Warranty
Like all Epiphones, the AJ-210CE comes with a Limited Lifetime Warranty plus Gibson 24/7/365 customer service.

Great Deal and then Some !

About Me Professional Musician

Comments about Epiphone AJ-210CE Outfit Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I went and bought this the other day to use as a companion with my Taylor Big Baby as part of my solo Acoustic act . Mine is in the Natural finish and it looks stunning. Of course I had to sand down the stock saddle a bit and do a slight truss rod adjustment which was no problem. I then put on a set of 12-53 Elixir Polywebs which were a vast improvement over the stock strings that were on it. The tuner on this works really well and is quite accurate compared to my Fender FT-04 which I usually use . I then plugged it into my Fishman Loudbox Mini and the pickup on this guitar has a really great sound to it, and is very loud as well. Seeing that it uses the type of batteries you generally use for your headstock tuners is a welcome relief because those tend to last much longer than the average 9 volt ones . Plus, the included Epiphone Hard Shell case is a much added treat as well. I also forgot to mention that the kidney shaped stock tuners hold tuning very well also, so there's no need to swap them out as far as I'm concerned. All in all, this is a great deal for either a beginner or the pro on a budget .
