Incredible Mic!!

This microphone is awesome for the money! I own one and will buy more in the future. This mic has very low handling noise due to a very cool internal rubber shock mount. I use this for karaoke all the time, so it gets dropped frequently. Unlike the SM58's I've used in the past, this grill is resistant to dents and bounces when dropped. EV mics rock!!

Bought this (and a Digital Reference drv200, outstanding), as a "cheap" public use mic. I sometimes host karaoke and open mic. And this performs really well. A lot of handling noise. My suggestion, put a pop filter on the mic head, use the high pass filter on your mixing board, set the gain at 12, adjust volume and eq it as needed and it sounds great!

  • Surprisingly enjoyable mic!

Needed some inexpensive mics for karaoke and came across these at the store and they were less then the sterling ones so I got these. For karaoke they were ok, definitely a lot of handling noise. Next day I needed them to do a podcast so mounted on a stand and the quality was great!

For a very decent price, I got a quality handheld vocal microphone. I was unfamiliar with this brand before hand, but so far it has delivered a consistent and quality sound and durability. I was looking to buy an SM58, but the salesperson pointed me to this microphone and told me it had a similar quality but the price-point was lower and it was on sale. I have only had it for about a month, so it remains to be seen if the quality and durability will be as long as i'm accustomed with shure products.

Yes it is very balanced, it's similar to an SM-58. and yes you can use it with the loudbox artist as long as you have the correct cables.
