Electro-Harmonix XO Stereo Polychorus Analog Flanger and Chorus Guitar Effects Pedal

This is no ordinary chorus pedal. You can combine parameters to achieve effects ranging from the simplicity of a slight wash of chorus, to the monstrosity of de-tuned, ring modulated cacophony. And everything in between. If you're thinking about adding standard flange or chorus effects to your tone, the Polychorus will give many shades of those aforementioned effects. Tinkering with the width and depth knobs will turn these normal effects into metallic madness, which you can make warble, boomerang, pulse, and sustain. I could bore you with knob twisting talk, but trust me, you'll know what I'm talking about when you blend the parameters together like the Tone/Delay, Sweep Filter, Sweep Rate, and Feedback. Speaking of the Tone/Delay, this function will give you a decent slapback delay on it's own, but of course, can be twisted into a wash of sick, vibrating reverb. I placed an Fulltone OCD in front of the Poly, and with only a touch of chorus dialed in, was able to get a really cool thickening effect which makes power chords deeper and single-notes thicker (think of a violin-like tone with a touch of fuzz). It makes my PRS McCarty sound even more powerful. Other things the Poly can do are rotary speaker simulations, mild to extreme vibrato, string doubling, some ring modulation, and much more. The Polychorus is a quiet pedal- no hiss or white noise or anything to mar your tone when it is engaged. It is true bypass and runs on a 9V adaptor. It doesn't take batteries. This pedal isn't cheap, but is worth the price.
