Electro-Harmonix Tone Tattoo analog multi-effects pedal

Electro-Harmonix Tone Tattoo analog multi-effects pedal

Electro-Harmonix

Description

The Tone Tattoo analog multi-effects guitar pedal from Electro-Harmonix is a fully interactive multi-effects pedal. The Tone Tattoo combines three of the most popular guitar effects—distortion, chorus and delay—into one small and convenient package. Satisfy your tone jones with a chain that pulls from some of EHX's best-selling effects, including the Metal Muff, Neo Clone and Memory Toy.

The effects in the Tone Tattoo are completely independent from each other. Three separate footswitches, one for each section, allow for individual control over which effect is on or off. Each effect has its own dedicated knobs and switches, all of which are tweakable at any moment; there are no menus to scroll through or dual function knobs.

Using the Tone Tattoo is like having three separate effects pedals on your pedalboard, but without the need for the additional cables or separate power supplies, all put into a single medium-sized pedal. Get crushing lead and rhythm tones, as well as full tone sculpting, including two levels of scoop.

This pedal was recommended by the gear finder app in guitar center. Waited a few months to give a review since wanted to learn all its settings. It does so much and sounds great. Neo Clone is an amazing Chorus pedal, push depth button it's Black Hole Sun - Sound Garden.

  • the exact quality a would expect from MXR

I took the advice of an employee at guitar center and finally bought one of these pedals. WOW! While I know a lot depends on your amplifier, this thing absolutely shines in front of a Peavey 6505 mini head. The distortion + noise gate is just awesome. Fairly quickly i was able to get various dialed in tones like pantera, megadeth, helmet. A smidge of delay added to the distortion will give you soaring solo sounds. Cut the distortion off, fiddle with the delay for a few minutes and be frugal with the chorus, and you have a lovely thick clean sound. by themselves, the three different pedals are amazing. Together, this pedal takes care of 90% of your pedal needs. After experimenting with many multi-effect pedals from boss, digitech, etc I'm always left unhappy, but the tone tattoo just makes me happy. It is not as fantastic on my line 6 Amplifi 150, but that amp has so much modeling and different stuff going on that I wouldnt expect it to be as pronounced. bottom line, buy this pedal if you have a tube amp!

I was looking for a combo pedal to take to jams and rehearsal rather than lugging my whole pedalboard. I tried the Golden Cello but it was horrible. I got this pedal took it to rehearsal. Lush chorus, great delay and more distortion than I can use and it's quite!! Didn't have to use the gate. Great pedal!!!
