Electro-Harmonix Ripped Speaker Fuzz Effects Pedal Gray

Description
The Ripped Speaker’s RIP knob is a bias control which sets the amount of clipping at the top and bottom of the signal wave form, adding even more versatility and control, allowing you to tailor the character of the fuzz. Noon is neutral, a position where the fuzz is perfectly biased... fat, with a great low end and top end bite without being harsh. Turning the knob clockwise produces a hard gating effect causing the signal to sputter and choke, great for creating a dying battery effect. Turning the knob counterclockwise produces yet a different style of fuzz with a smoother gating effect where the signal fades out quickly.
The Ripped Speaker’s TONE control is active and delivers a tilt-shift type EQ. That means at noon the EQ is flat and, as the knob is turned counterclockwise, the frequency response gets darker with more pronounced lows and less articulate highs. Going clockwise yields a brighter tone with more highs and rolled back lows.
The Ripped Speaker features true bypass switching, comes equipped with a 9 Volt battery and accepts a standard EHX 9 Volt power supply.

The 1st note played @ band practice, we all fell in love!

Needed a detailed distortion for a 1 note rhythmic song I wrote. My OCD & Big Muff pi were muddy. I pre-ordered a Notaklön, but studio time was up. Overall, very happy & the band decided to track with it. As EHX described. The distortion I needed, along w/ some bit-crush & noise-gate.

GC charges full price and sends the pedal by itself. No box, no warranty card, no manual. What kind of operation are you running??? You lost a customer forever.

Works great when you`re to recreate those `50`s & `60`s tunes you`ve had stuck in your ears for several decades.
I own it and I wish it was created sooner.

I love this fuzz. It clips extremely tight. Just like a ripped speaker. It sputters, it spats, it's everything I have been looking for in a fuzz pedal.
