Description
The Electro-Harmonix Intelligent Harmony Machine is an innovative pedal offering guitarists and bassists the ability to generate lush harmonies and pitch shifts. The Intelligent Harmony Machine creates realistic multi-part harmonies as you play, providing the sound of another musician playing along in perfect sync. Access the sounds of multi-lead guitar bands and multi-part harmonized solos with its ability to apply harmonies ranging from simple to sophisticated, powered by the reliable tracking and genuine musical tone of EHX.
Intelligent Harmony Mode for Flawless Harmonies
The Intelligent Harmony Machine's Intelligent Harmony mode delivers diatonic harmonies in a set key. Select your key and the pedal will generate single note, two- and three-part harmonies. The 11-interval selector switch offers harmonizing choices from minor 2nd up to perfect 5th intervals. A Major/Minor switch further expands your options. The Intelligent Harmony Machine tracks each note you play and creates harmonies in real time for a lush, full sound.
Polyphonic Pitch Shifting for Dramatic Effects
In Polyphonic Override mode, the Intelligent Harmony Machine becomes a pitch-shifting powerhouse, performing perfect polyphonic pitch shifts over a range of -1 to +1 octave. Instantly transpose your instrument into a lower or higher range for a dramatic change in tone. The pedal's Momentary mode applies the selected effect only when the footswitch is pressed, with an adjustable sweep time to smoothly transition between dry and effected signals.
Stereo Outputs and Key/Interval Selectors
The Intelligent Harmony Machine features stereo outputs to send the dry signal to one amp and effected signal to another, as well as a dry-through output. An easy-to-use key selector lets you access all 12 keys, while the interval selector offers 11 interval options from minor 2nd up to perfect 5th. Power the pedal with a 9V battery or optional EHX 9.6DC 200 power supply.
Premium Build Quality and Roadworthiness
Housed in a compact, die-cast chassis, the Intelligent Harmony Machine is built to withstand the rigors of the road. Thing is pretty darn cool but it's not really a pick up and gogogo kinda pedal right off the bat. Time and effort is needed but worth it in the end. Highly recommend.

Had to return this item. I found the EHX Intelligent Harmony Machine to be too sensitive and very difficult to use. I spent hours working with it. Perhaps it was my pedalboard setup, but it was not compatible for me. I returned it and opted for the Boss PS-6, which works a lot better.
Brings the fun of experimentation back to guitar players!

Great for front of amp installation. I use it after my distortion pedal and it can multiply the sound as well as add harmony to anything you are able to play!

Watching the video of this pedal, there is a very short clip of when the 'bow' effect is being played. It sounds awesome, but I noticed some kind of device being held in the strumming hand. It's a small black 'box' he is holding, and his hand is not moving. What is it? It appears to be a little deceiving.
That is the receiver that causes the effect with the strings.
