Great product... if it was actually compatible with my Floyd

On paper, this gadget is great. Anything relating to a floating bridge is gonna be a bit of a pain to set up, but if you use it with the right gear and take the time to learn how it works, it is fantastic. However, that is a big if. To anyone considering buying this device, please keep the following in mind: THIS DOES NOT WORK IF YOUR BRIDGE SITS INSIDE ITS OWN COMPARTMENT IN YOUR GUITAR! If your floating tremolo is in any kind of divot and doesn't sit completely on top of your guitar, then you are gonna have some problems. When you adjust the small screw to change how the D-Tuna is in tune while in the E standard tuning position, the device will start to bow downwards towards the body of the guitar. This isn't a bad thing with above-body floating trems, but if your trem sits in a carved out socket, the Tuna will push down on the body of the guitar, making it impossible to pull up on the whammy bar to raise the pitch and may even push on the body and cause the whole trem to go down in pitch. And even if you were okay with your term only able to make pitch go down, the darn thing gets stuck in standard tuning and you can't pull it back out because it's pushing on the body! If you are really willing to make it work, you could gouge out a chunk of your guitar body so that your D-Tuna has room to point down, but at that point you are wrecking your guitar just to get a gadget to work and I wasn't ready to do that. With all of that being said, I messed around enough with this thing to know that if I had the correct kind of guitar and tremolo setup that this thing would have worked like a charm! I'm only writing this review to warn people that this should not be purchased if your trem sits in a divot in your guitar, but by all means if your tremolo is on top of the body then this thing will be super convenient. I'm ultimately giving this 4 stars because of how well this thing works when you have the right equipment, but I can't quite give it 5 stars because it is not as versatile as I wish it was. While I'll probably return it, I encourage other tremolo users that like drop-D tuning to see if this is right for you.

Seems like the chrome ones are the only consistent fit

I have owned somewhere around 10 of these over the years and it seems like all the ones with a non chrome finish seem to have issues with tuning untill the paint wears off. When i get them now, i just use a blade and remove the finish off of the contact to floyd. YES- I have trem dive only Yes - I understand how to mount and adjust including the mini allen screw Good overall product to have if used in the right way.

If you're not familiar with these types of locking Tremolo systems you should have a guitar tech install it.

It works perfectly on my music man but will not work as well on my Jackson at least I was unable to get it. And if it was on it I would loose the ability to pull up on the tremolo but happy with it.
