A hidden gem among electric guitars

I saw the M-10 online few months back and I liked it in general and I was looking forward to try it upon visiting my local GC. Fast forward 2 weeks ago I asked an employee about it and they brought one from the warehouse. I plugged the M-10 into the Bassbreaker and wow! Straight up from the box guitar is set up very good and sounds great! The ceramic LH-100 pickups are actually very nice and luckily for me medium output so one can play ANY musical style. Blues, pop, rock, obviously metal, jazz and I haven't tried any country but I'm confident you can pull that off too. 5 main reasons I bought mine. 1. Reverse headstock provides better response on the EAD strings. 2. The flatter and wider neck feels better and helps play more complicated chords (Ab2/C for example) 3. I prefer "no finish" on the back of the neck and satin finish on the body helps the resonance of the guitar 4. The strings through body design 5. The full scale provides more room in the upper register vs. 24 3/4 scale guitar. So the M-10 sounds and feels way above its price range and actually looks very good too and doesn't scream metal (visually), the built quality is excellent and also the bolt on neck is recessed so the access to the upper register isn't complicated like on most bolt on guitars. I'm playing for 21 years, I played many different types of guitars, different brands and I'm asking myself why didn't I get a ESP (LTD in this case) earlier. Phenomenal guitar for anybody not just begginers! Another plus, mine weighs only 5.8 lbs with a leather strap! I actually traded a set neck traditional singlecut type of guitar to get this one and I'm not even looking back. It's my number 1 guitar and I'm playing live gigs with her now. I will upgrade the pots and the quick connect wiring in the future, but there's nothing wrong with the stock.

Desperately in need of setup

I bought this for someone who was on a very tight budget and wanted s Les Paul style guitar. Some of the frets were sharp, I took care of that. Need to shim the neck and set intonation , high action with the bridge bottomed out. When funds become available the tuning pegs will be swapped out. The pups are ok but it will be used with a small modeling amp so tone can be adjusted. It is What is it is, the least expensive guitar in the building at the time. And now it's an ok player. Your mileage may vary and I'm shure each of these will be slightly different out of the box. This was purchased solely on the price and body shape. I'm shure the person will be very happy with this while learning and practicing.

This guitar is amazing. I actually bought this guitar to install the FreatZealot learning system, that's a whole different story. This guitar feels good on the hands, well crafted, great sound, just amazing overall.

  • Sent me a used guitar. Never getting another dollar from me.

Box it came in looked stepped on. Not even an esp labeled box. Wrapped in bubble wrap yet the headstock was still exposed and the box was barely sealed with tape. Dent/chip in the body. Dried and cracking fretboard. Loose volume knob. Sharp fret edges. Who is doing the quality assurance here?

  • I like the ease of use as a beginner.

This guitar has a fast neck and dual humbuckers, so it would be a great choice for shredding.
