I would buy this guitar again and again!

To non-ESP/LTD players this guitar may seem very sweet. To experienced ESP/LTD players this guitar is hands down amazing! I own two other LTD's (EC-1000S and EC-2015) and this one has a neck and heel joint that makes my other LTD's jealous! The neck is flatter, thinner and the heel joint is very smooth. While the neck and heel joint are what make this guitar (check the photo above), the red satin quilted maple and EMG pickups round out the amazing qualities it possesses. From the moment I walked out of GC with it, I could feel how flat and thin the neck was carrying it to my car. When I got home and plugged this into my Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier and Recto 2x12 it screamed, roared and when I hit the neck heel it was the most amazing experience I've ever had with an LTD EC model! The only small complaint: non-locking tuners (but easily replaced). Many of the GC exclusives are very "meh" with watered down features and a cool paint job. This one is none of that. This guitar is a pure winner! If you're a serious metal guitarist and love Eclipse types and 24.75" scale necks, this is one to take under strong consideration. ESP did not disappoint and you can only get this at Guitar Centers, so check yours! Note: The description states Indonesia as country of origin, but mine is stamped Korea.

I ordered this guitar and shortly after received an email saying that a new in the box ,was not avaiiable, would i consider an open box non factory sealed guitar. i agreed and shortly received it . upon opening I noticed that it was obviously a demo the fret board showed signs of been played, the strings were worn and dirty, but still paid for factory sealed.all that being said. I sent out for profesional set up and cleanig. after receiving it back was extremely impressed ,fantastic axe blows my gibson lp apart

  • Definitely I would recommend it 100%

I got this guitar for $899 I don't understand why the price went up. Overall a great guitar that I can use for rhythm or lead because of how well it stays in tune. It also has no problem tuning down, I have had it down to Drop B with zero problems. One slight problem was the fret work, frets were a little sharp at first but after some sanding and polishing they are nice and smooth.

This is a great guitar for anyone looking for a 6 string with no intentions of modding. The EMGs are great, bridge punchy, neck great for clean tones. Came with a battery for the pickups. Tuners are great, not locking but keep a tune very well. Nut is suprisingly good, also holds a tune and smooth tuning experience. Bridge is great, basically your standard les paul style bridge. Frets came in decent condition, no sharp edges, but did need a bit of polishing, definitely could hear a bit or scratching when recording. Pickup selector is pretty standard, fair amount of tension on the switch. Knobs and pots are terrific, no split coil so they dont pull out. Neck is pretty thick but you get used to it pretty quick. Guitar is great for pretty much everything. I play in drop c and found that 11s and 12s are fine even for the shorter scale length. Finish is absolutely amazing, even better in person than the pictures. Only knock i really have on it is that the back of the neck and the body were pretty dirty, but no scratches or anything.

Looks awesome.. open box item from Musicians Friend. Great set up right out of the box! Love the active EMG, lots of bite. Neck and frets are perfect. As for Recording, stays in tune mostly.. Intonation is spot on. I run the DI from this guitar and process with Neural DSP Amp Sim and it sounds amazing. Very happy with this guitar and I would definitely buy another.

My first foray into a "serious" guitar. Love the strong active pickups. The satin finish is perfect. Determined ,that while they look beautiful, I do not like playing guitars with a gloss finish. It is wonderfully light. Yet, it does not feel cheap. It has me looking other guitars ESP has. Could not be happier.

What type of guitar is this? Les Paul?

    Open Reply - Gear-Support
No, the ESP LTD EC is not a Les Paul. It has a similar single cut-a-way design but the Les Paul can be made only by Gibson and Epiphone
