Absolutely worth every penny.

Esp ltd....Feels like a total quality instrument. Great sustain, solid grover tuners. The see thru black is unique, the picture absolutely doesnt do it justice. The neck on this guitar is probably the most comfortable ive ever played, although to each is own on that thought. ESP for life after this purchase. I practice on a fender mustang, and with those emgs on the modern metal 2000 setting, its really an amazing sound. Very high output pickups,I can over power a drummer that uses tree trunks for sticks.Extremely satisfied with this purchase.Guitar is heavy, but not uncomfortable, it just feels quality . Looking forward to my next ESP!!!

It would be great if it actually worked

I received the guitar without a working jack. I could not plug into it. I was able to open it up and bend the jack receiver back into place to where I could plug in. Then, just 2 weeks later, the guitar doesn't work at all. I plug into my amp just to get a choppy connection. I really wish guitar center would test the guitar to make sure it actually works before shipping it off. Very disappointing experience.

Right out of the box the action is great. Plus very comfortable for a heavier guitar. I like it better than my Les Paul.

  • Looks great, sounds great, plays great!

This guitar is a joy to play due to the shape of the neck and the tone it produces. Love the EMG humbuckers, especially the 81 at the bridge. Great for rock and metal! Included pics of the satin finish and the battery compartment for the active pick ups/

I purchased a new LTD 401qm guitar and received the guitar wrapped in bubble wrap in a partially opened fender box. It seems like I received an open box or return, it didn't com in the esp box with the allen tool and paperwork very disappointed.

  • Great playing guitar!

I recently purchased this to replace my older Ibanez RG series that I had modified to put in EMG pickups. The LTD sounds much better than my Frankenstein Ibanez since it is now aging(12+ years).

Plainly states active pickups.. why the continued confusion? Is it a gamble as to what you get? Passive ir active? Pic shows an apparent battery compartment

How much does this guitar weigh ?

    Open Reply - Thomas
All guitars vary depending on the density of the wood. Manufacturers usually only spec size and type of wood. Guitars are generally between 6 and 12 lbs. They can be more. The only way to know the weight of an individual instrument is to weigh it. This will be approximately 7- 8 lbs

I keep seeing people ask about pickups and the picture shows active emgs and one part states active emgs and another part says passive. Everyone keeps answering that it actually has passive pickups so why doesn't GC fix the listing? I almost purchased this thinking it was as shown with the active EMGs.

    Open Reply - Ronald
I'm not sure why the listing hasn't been updated yet, but I'll have it corrected.

I have seen on both variations of this guitar that one says it has active pickups and the other says it has passive, then one says it has and active EQ and the other says it doesn't I was just wondering which is correct. Thanks!
