ESP LTD EC-256 Electric Guitar Black

The ESP LTD EC-256 is a solidbody electric guitar that delivers the tone and performance of models many times its price. Sporting set-neck construction, dual humbucking pickups and a sleek double-cutaway shape, the EC-256 is built for high-gain rock and metal but versatile enough for any style. The set mahogany neck provides outstanding sustain and articulation, aided by 22 jumbo frets on a roasted jatoba fingerboard for a fast, fluid feel.
Dual Humbuckers With Push-Pull Coil-Splitting
The EC-256 features a pair of ESP-designed humbucking pickups that produce tight lows, growling mids and searing highs perfect for hard rock and metal. A push-pull switch on the tone control activates coil-splitting, tapping the inner coils of the humbuckers for bright, chimey single-coil tones. This setup provides a wealth of tones from one guitar.
Sleek Double-Cutaway Shape
The EC-256 has a sculpted mahogany body with an arched top and sharp cutaways for a comfortable playing experience. The cutaways provide unhindered access to the upper frets so you can solo without straining your hand. The contoured edges nestle seamlessly against your body whether sitting or standing. Overall, the EC-256 has an elegant yet aggressive shape that screams rock and roll.
Set-Neck Construction and Premium Hardware
The EC-256 features set-neck construction, with the mahogany neck glued to the body for optimal tone transfer and sustain. It has a smooth satin finish on the back of the neck for a fast playing feel. ATOM hardware including a tune-o-matic bridge and tailpiece provide rock-solid intonation and tuning stability.

I decided to get back into guitar after 10 years off, so I was looking for something simple enough to just play at home but fun enough to want to play it regularly. This guitar has been perfect for that. In terms of sound, it has the thicker, more dense sound that you'd expect for a les paul style. The fixed bridge means there is very little regular maintenance needed so it is pretty much ready to play straight out of the box. Appearance-wise it is beautiful. The neck is a bit more thick around the higher frets so it can be a bit difficult and uncomfortable to play higher leads, but it's something you can get used to. Aside from that, it's very easy to play. I look forward to playing it everyday, which is exactly what I was looking for in a guitar that would help me to get back into an old hobby. #sweepstakes

Incredibly playable and probably the fastest neck for me. The frets are high, so it takes less pressure to fret (or you'll inadvertently do a bend). Love the push/pull bridge pickup for that single coil sound. Overall, a fantastic value!

The spec indicates Japan as country of origin. Is this true, and if so I may purchase. Other units indicate Vietnam, Indonesia and China so if this is an error, thanks but no, not today.
I’m very sorry for the confusion.. Chinasubmitted4 years ago

What is the total weight of the guitar?
All guitars vary depending on the density of the wood. Manufacturers usually only spec size and type of wood. Guitars are generally between 6 and 12 lbs. They can be more. The only way to know the weight of an individual instrument is to weigh it. This will be approximately 7.5 – 9.0 lbssubmitted4 years ago
