This was my first 5 string. I wasn't sure if I was ready at first but I love it and play it more than my 4 string. I'm used to playing Ibanez but this one feels just as slick. The tones it puts out are sick. Give this bass a try you won't regret it.
Ok, but nothing special

I owned one of these for about 2 years. I was not particularly impressed with this bass. The neck played slow. Didn't like the thin frets either. I did like the flatter fretboard radius. The eq was set wrong. The marked treble and mid were swapped. How do eq pots get put into the wrong spots? I changed them to the proper locations. Overall tone was kind of muddy. It lacked articulate zing, even with stainless steel strings. Entirely too much eq work at the amp to get some crispness - I play a ss amp into an 810 w/tweeter. Would probably do best with some flatwounds. Weightwise, it's rather light, and the body is comfortable. It is a handsome bass, but it looks better than it plays and sounds.

This is a good quality bass. I LOVE the design and the color. When playing the low B is bomming. This bass is way better than my yamaha 3 string. When playing the yamaha bass it tends to have a bad sound ending but not this bass. The three equalizer button are good for change the tone to fit the genre of the song.

When I first i play it I was amazed by the b string power when it ring in my fender amp. This bass stay perfectly in tune. This is my first five string but I know this has persuade me to buy another esp bass. I have no problems with this bass and I love it to death

This was my first five-string and I was really looking forward to the low B string. When I got it I loved the sound. No buzzing frets, and it stays in tune perfectly. But all that was eclipsed by the fact that the guitar's input didn't work properly. when you plugged it in it wouldn't send a signal to the amp at all. You had to twist it a couple times to get any sound at all. i found out that it wasn't the cable or the amp, so i was pretty ticked off. however i was able to get that fixed, and the bass has worked great ever since.
