Dunlop

collapse expand iconDescription

Two legendary and timeless icons of rock music-Slash and MXR Innovations-have teamed up to deliver the Slash Octave Fuzz guitar effects pedal. It features a searing Fuzz tone coupled with a separate Sub Octave voice and an Octave Up Fuzz channel, all for thickening up your tone with a sinister growl.

With an array of external and internal controls, the Slash Octave Fuzz provides an endless number of ways to combine the main Fuzz effect's thick '70s shag with the chainsaw grind of the Octave Up Fuzz and the warm growl of the Sub Octave. Internal Tone and Gain controls shape Octave Up Fuzz. Emblazoned with custom Slash graphics, the Slash Octave Fuzz features all analog circuitry, true hardwire bypass and comes in a heavy duty housing with durable jacks and switches.

I was looking for a fuzz pedal and I was looking for an octave pedal for my live rig. I got it all knocked out in this one pedal. Couldn't be happier! #sweepstakes

It does what it does great, but it's very specific and not very versatile. Not something that I will be using very often, but it's going to find its way into a few sections of songs that demand such a specific fuzz tone.

  • Awesome pedal with perfect tone, built like a tank

Wanted an awesome octave/fuzz pedal and this kicked the heck out of the full tone to my ears. If you want a versatile and powerful octave/fuzz look no further. Slash nailed this design.

I bought this with only one thing in mind and it wasn't to get Slash's sound but that of Neil Young and "old black". With a lil bit of toying around I was about to get the WELD era Hey, Hey, My, My (into the black) sound I was looking for. I use it in other NY&CH solo's when Neil gets crazy good with "old black" and your looking for that something extra. Love it!

If you want to play like Slash you need it. Sounds great and now I can play Guns N Roses everyday.

Yes, the Dunlop Slash Octave Fuzz Guitar Effects Pedal will work with a bass. How good it sounds is strictly up to the player. You need to listen to one.
