Dunlop

collapse expand iconDescription

Bass players demand consistency, durability, and versatility from their strings. Dunlop delivers. Dunlop bass guitar strings offer traditionalists, slappers, and pick-wielding rockers cutting midrange, wide bottom end and a growl that will cut through any band. Carefully selected core-to-wrap ratios yield a low-tension steel string with an extremely long life, and minimal break-in time. Each set is exceptionally well balanced from string-to-string, and provides an amazing amount of dynamic range.

  • Worst strings I've ever used....

I have been a full-time musician for 30 plus years...and I had never tried Dunlop strings. So, I bought a set out of curiosity. Right out of the box, these strings sounded terrible. They were dull and unresponsive. To make matters worse, they sounded like complete cardboard after two nights. I promptly removed them, switched back to my old set till I could get over to a store for another new set. The strings I took off my bass, which were around 2 months old and had been used on about 50+ shows, sounded better than these brand new Dunlops. Never again, Dunlop...never again

I am an intermediate bass player and have tried all types of strings. I'm a big hi-beam user, but I came across these in my local guitar center. I decided to give them a try on my 5 string and was very surprised. They have every bit of growl and bite that the DR strings do. I'm pretty sure that I have just found my string of choice!

This is my first time using Dunlop strings. After hearing about them, I thought I would give them a try. I like the sound I get out of them and the feel is nice. Especially for the price.
