Description

The Double Cat 12 is a chambered, dual-pickup, 22-fret electric guitar, featuring a Cat Eye f-hole and deep cutaways. The Double Cat is crafted from solid alder with routed large sound chambers. The body is then topped with a flat maple top featuring a Cat Eye-styled f-hole. This distinct construction of a solid, but chambered alder body, combined with a flat top and a one-piece maple neck, gives the Double Cat the special tone musicians all around the world came to love.

The Double Cat 12 is equipped with Duesenberg's proven pickup combination of their classically wound Grand Vintage humbucker for the bridge and the smooth and creamy Domino P-90 single-coil for the neck. The middle position of both pickups feature a special wiring, which splits certain low-end frequencies out of the humbucker signal, resulting in an open and extremely versatile addition to your pallet of sounds. Includes hardshell case.

The Duesey Double Cat 12-String is made from solid alder featuring large sound chambers. The body is fitted with a flat maple top featuring a Cat Eye styled ƒ-hole. This distinct construction of a solid but chambered alder body combined with a flat top and a one-piece maple neck gives the Double Cat the special tone which 12-string guitar players love. The Double Cat is equipped with Duesenberg's proven pickup combination comprising of the classically wound Grand Vintage humbucker for the bridge and the smooth and creamy Domino P90 singlecoil for the neck. The middle position combining both pickups features special wiring which splits certain low end frequencies out of the humbucker signal. This creates an open and extremely versatile addition to an incredible pallet of sounds. The Narvik Blue finish is like a beautiful clear sky in San Francisco. The custom made Duesenberg hardware on the Double Cat 12-String is absolutely gorgeous. Duesenberg's Z-Tuners are a rare treat. Highly recommended this guitar.

I don't own this guitar, but found it unlocked at my local GC. When i saw it hanging up on the wall in The Vault, next to a locked Rickenbacker, I thought it was also a Rickenbacker and thought to myself, I wonder what a Rickenbacker plays like? I played it for about 10 minutes, and while I would never pay 3+ thousand for a guitar, man it played nice. It was so effortless and the action, while incredibly low, which I normally don't like at all, still played amazingly. It was really effortless. When I put it back up on the wall, I realized it was actually a Duesenberg and not a Rickenbacker. First Duesenberg I've played and man was I impressed with the feel and play of the instrument! I also played (also unlocked that 54 Fender Custom Shop reissue (I think listed 5+ thousand?)) and I was thoroughly unimpressed. Didn't sound or play better than my American Pro ii (IMHO).
