Duesenberg USA

collapse expand iconDescription

The Caribou is a chambered, dual pickup, 22 fret electric guitar, featuring a Cat Eye F-Hole and a 25.5 in. (647 mm) scale.

The Caribou is made from solid Alder with large sound chambers. The body is then fitted with a flat maple top featuring a modern Cat Eye F-Hole. The large sound chambers make this construction a crossover between a solidbody and a semi-hollow construction, resulting in a unique tonal character and resonance.

The Caribou is fitted with a proven Duesenberg pickup combination, comprising of the classically wound Grand Vintage humbucker for the bridge and the warm and creamy Domino P90 singlecoil. The middle position of both pickups features a special wiring, which splits certain low end frequencies out of the humbucker's signal, resulting in an open and extremely versatile addition to your pallet of sounds.

All Duesenberg instruments are fitted with their own hardware, which you will only find on a Duesenberg. They design it with attention to even the smallest details to create truly unique instruments from tuner buttons to jack plates.

All fretboards are carefully pleked and finished by hand for optimum playability and the smooth feel they are famous for.

Refined, elegant, precision, detail, and butter are all words that come to mind when I play this guitar!! Haha. I love the grind of a Les Paul or having to fight the glorious feedback of a 335 or the unmistakable in-between tones of a strat, but this thing isn't just a strat or Les Paul or tele with a different body shape like so many guitars really are. This is it's own animal. The tones are so unique. I brought this home yesterday and even my wife said, "Don't take this as an offense to your other guitars, but this is the first guitar you've bought that even I can hear the difference in." And that was her hearing it from another room! Deusenberg really has gotten it right when it comes to attention to detail too. The binding is all flawless, the hardware is all unique to their brand, and the frets are polished like mirrors. Even the fretboard appears to have been burnished til it's almost glossy without a finish! I've got a bunch of guitars, but I am truly smitten with this gem.

I'm interested in this Duesenberg Caribou product, but I need it in a Left-Handed version. Is there any of these models available? I do know that the manufacturer does make a left-handed model.

Regards!
