Cheap switch

This is an update to my four star review. Had to decrease to 2 stars after the switch broke. I dont use delay much, barely at all actually, and the switch broke. I have pedals that were much cheaper that have lasted 15+ years with no issues, and quite honestly i dont have room in my brain to learn how to service this. Into the trash it goes. I still love how this pedal sounded which is why it got 2 stars instead of 1.

Very nice pedal, however it's a bit too spacey sounding for what I'm looking for. Also I hate the side power jack. That being said it's a quality pedal.

Although it was a few weeks late due to a backorder, the item arrived well packed and it is a well-built, well-designed pedal. It came with an instruction manual, as well. The modulation switch is a novelty and I might find a use for it sometime. As this is an analog delay, I can detect some hiss or noise on long delays with the repeats turned up. I don't remember hearing this with other pedals, especially digital delays. All in all it's a good pedal for guitar delay effects.

I had a Boss DD-3 Delay peal and sold it along with some other gear I wasn't using any more. Later I started to really miss it, so I looked around for another one. I happened to see the Dr. J D-54 Shadow Echo delay pedal and listened to a couple of on-line demos. This pedal can actually do more than the pedal I had, so I got one. After I got a reliable power supply for it, it became a worthy and very welcome addition to my other pedals and works perfectly in my pedal board. I could go on and on about the things it does, so to sum it up, it will do anything and more than you would expect a delay pedal to do. I use with my basses, and I am 110% pleased with it. I do highly recommend it. It's a great value for the money, too.
