It features an integrated male XLR connector that captures the snap and sizzle of snare hits and rim shots and provides plenty of punch for toms.     I have this as part of the drum mic kit. This mic sounds really good for the price; way better than the cheap CAD and NADY mics. It does sound better on toms than snare but still is clear and has a great tonal balance. It does sound slightly darker and phatter than a SM57 but placement and EQ will fix that. Beside drums, this thing handles vocals surprisingly well.

    i own this set and use them for my drums and other ways also and it Enhanced the sound of my drums to my preferences and use them in different ways
