Its cardioid polar pattern offers good directionality and isolation, and responds well with proximity effect allowing a singer to "work" the mic for outstanding performances. I Bought this mic yesterday and honestly it's a good mic for the money..you can't beat 149 spl.db. only problem is this mic will pick up an ant walking on a wall from 60 feet away so watch your peaks and clips on the boards..you want full sound hook up a tube pre-amp to it and vocals are crisp with that warm tube feeling. Not a mic to invest your whole recording career into but a good start out mic for a home studio. "ProPhet"

This is an excellent mic for a beginning musician. I went and bought this a couple weeks ago and i got to say, it's good, not that full studio quality, but pretty close. The fact of it being so sensitive is great, the only thing I'm having trouble with is that this thing picks up my foot steps, so watch out for that.
