I bought this pedal used for like thirty dollars. I don't know why it was so cheap but it was a good deal. one of the best distortion pedals money can buy. The tone knob can give a smooth or a dirty tone. The morph knob is awesome. It is like four pedals in one. It is a very durable pedal. The metal constructrion makes it last. I can't wait to get some more digitech pedals!!!

All I can say is that if you've never tried out this pedal, you don't know what you're missing. The combination of the gain and morph knobs allows you to produce almost any kind of sound you want - metal, pop, 80's rock, dirty, you name it. Although this pedal isn't as "in your face" as the Boss MT2, you won't be disappointed with this one. If you're looking for a pedal that can do anything and sound good doing it, the Hot Rod is for you!
Bass Chords

Not bad for the buck. I had a Marsall G-2 which was much better for my application of playing chords on bass. Unfortunate that the G-2 has been discontinued. The Hot Rod works ok but I am limited to the clean sound I desire. It is difficult to find a pedal that plays clean bass chords. Of course when you color outside the lines you have to experiment around. For guitarist looking for 80's rock it is a must. ...Thump

Ive never heard distortion like this! Ive tried like 10 distortion pedals and none of them sound half as good is this. The sound is amazing and the morph lets you get basically any sound you want. I would definately reccomend this to anybody esspessially someone who plays a lot of hard rock. You can get rock, blues, metal, ect. out of this thing. The only thing is that it waists battery quick so you should get a digitech adapter. Best distortion you will ever get! GET IT!

I don't own this distortion pedal, but I use it at my friend's house almost every day. You can get a lot of distortion out of this. He's had it for over 2 years and hasn't had one problem with it. It's really cool that the instruction book it comes with gives you some ideas for different settings.

I bought this pedal as a gift for my friend. It has so many sounds its hard to believe. You can get almost any type of distortion out of it. It is definitely a great value. It'll be the last distortion pedal you ever buy.
